Congrats to the Canadian women’s hockey team: Canada claims eighth women’s world hockey crown.
Of course, that makes 8 losses in a row for the US women’s team in the world championships. Make it best out of 17, eh?

Which team has the hotter babes?
Cassie Campbell (Canada, LW) is a total babe. Those pictures do her no justice.
In fairness, the U.S. did win the gold medal at Nagano, so it’s not a completely unbeaten streak.
Did you see that wrist shot Wickenheiser took to score the first goal? Holy crap, what a shot. Right in the top shelf, where they keep the peanut butter. Crunchy style. An NHL-calibre wrist shot - the woman is way above her league. Some other countries need to develop some better teams so someone can find a way to stop Hayley Wickenheiser.
The Canadians just won because of those wimpy-assed no-check rules. Otherwise the big, butch American women would have wiped 'em out.
Of course, I’m also living in my own little dream world.
It’s a pity the win is tainted with that uncalled US goal. It may not have changed the outcome, but the mentality and game play of both teams change when there’s only a 1 goal difference instead of 2.
Oh, there’s a women’s hockey now?
