Fur coat and no knickers means someone trying to make out they are more classy than they are. It seems fairly self-explanatory to me.
No idea of the origin of all mouth and trousers but it just means all talk and nothing to back it up with. I guess if you just shorten it to all mouth it actually makes more sense.
My Dad used to say that!
He also used to tell me to “Either shit or get off the pot.”

My mom used to say of someone who looked bad, “It looks like he was shot at and missed and shit at and hit all over.”
I described something as “crooked as a dog’s hind leg” to the great amusement of one of my colleagues.
In Korean if a girl is particularly flat-chested, she’s described as “gum on the sidewalk”. That always cracked me up.

Heard it all my life, but don’t know the origin. I suspect I comes from the days of hand dug wells when the butt of the digger would frequently be against the cold wet inside of the well.
“Uglier than homemade soap” referring to lye soap.
