My dads heart catheterization went well this morning and they didn’t find any blockages. That’s the best news that I’ve gotten today.
Our fetus’ nuchal translucency test went well today, plus the sprog seems to have the full complement of properly wriggly limbs, two brain hemispheres, a nicely beating heart, and a classic teeny-nosed baby profile. I wasn’t particularly worried, but it’s always nice to hear that things are progressing as they should be.

My healthy 17 year old son had a massive stroke December 11. My wife and I have been rebuilding him one synapse at a time. Yesterday he told me he feels really good about himself; his memory and physical abilities are approaching a level that doesn’t leaving him feeling damaged and constantly dependent on others. He has made (and continues to make) amazing progress. He will graduate with his class this summer, and probably go off to college in the fall.
Wow!
That is some powerful good news. I’ve been reading about the plasticity of the brain and find it more amazing all the time.
I found out last night that my last round of IVF worked - we should be expecting baby #2 around about New Year! (So only about 18 months before life gets easier again…but it’s worth it).
The royal wedding is finally over and hopefully out of the news by this weekend!

Well, I did some extra work this week which means I’ll pay off my last three loan payments in one. I’ll get my title deed back from the bank and actually own my home - small and unfinished as it may be it will be mine all mine!
I am going to visit my good friend Bob and his wife Jackie in 20 days. I am planning to take their 2 kids, who call me “Uncle Brian” up in a balloon! And all this at a Civil War event.
Good news indeed. The kid is amazing, smart, kind, funny and good looking, too ;).
Takes after his father.
