Sharktopus

I don’t know what to say…

The new SyFy movie coming up:

:dubious:
:smack:

Or what?

:dubious:

Really, how bad it could be?

So bad that is good or so bad that is terrible?

On par with the rest of the Syfy Channel’s movies.

Sharktopus? I’m falling behind–I still need to watch Dinocroc vs Supergator!

Pure genius.

We’re gonna need a bigger meatloaf!

Roger Corman? Eric Roberts? A shark/octopus hybrid that climbs onto boats?

I’m there.

Fantastic trailer, though I’m a little disappointed this isn’t a direct sequel to “Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus.” I’ll probably watch it when it airs, just to see Eric Roberts get eaten.

Whooooah, don’t even ask that, man. It’s SyFy. We could reach “detonating the the atmosphere and incinerating the entire planet” levels of bad.

Actually, I think it’s a direct sequel to Mega Shark Loves Giant Octopus.

This reminds me how in 1994 there were those one-off made for TV Hercules movies starring Kevin Sorbo that were the precursor to the TV series. The CGI for the monsters looked pretty good for the time.

From the Greek roots “Sharkto-”, meaning “suck”, and “pus”, meaning “that stuff that oozes out of sores”.

If sharktopus sticks his head up his other head, he can make his prey loop the loop.

All of these years of thinking that a shark with a laser on it’s head would be good. Who knew?

This will definitely go on the So Bad It’s Horrible stack. :frowning:

That might be the greatest thing I have ever seen.

Perv.

What if they launched a sci-fi channel and some real sci-fi broke out?

There should be some kind of “Law of Greater Cable Niche Channel Corruption” or something. All of them have become pretty much the opposite of what they began as. History Channel has Hawass and his Real World: Giza crap. Discovery Channel is running woo-woo psychic and UFO crap. MTV hasn’t shown a music video in…well, DECADES at this point. SyFy (the name of which is an abomination in itself) has had absolute schlock, and not even mocked schlock like it used to with MST3K. Basic cable is a battlefield with no survivors, just post-apocalyptic zombies.

The relevant TV Tropes article is really quite depressing.
