I’m so pleased! It sounds like she’s doing great. Go, Kimberly!

Coming in late to congratulate you and to add mine to the prayers going for Kimberly and your family.

StarTrkr777, I’ve never tried Photoloft, so maybe you can’t use to embed pictures in a post.

Another thing you can do is create your own free web page at geocities http://www.geocities.com

and then provide a link to the page.

Wonderful news, Jeffery! I’m happy for you!

Sorry about the link. I tried it in the About this Message Board and it took me to the pictures, I guess because I was still logged in.

I have web space with my cable modem provider, so I guess I need to do it there. Maybe I can get the pictures up in a day or so.

She’s eating already! Wow!

Just a couple more weeks and she’ll be ready to come home…

Hope your other child is coping well. It’s not easy when a new sister steals all your attention!

Actually, PunditLisa, neonatologists (doctors who specialize in preemie babies) prefer that the babies weigh at least five pounds before they are released from the hospital. It is a very good thing that Kimberly is not on a respirator and is able to drink breast milk, but it will probably still be at least a month, maybe more, before she will weigh enough so that she can go home. A friend of mine gave birth to twins eight weeks early, so they only weighed about 2.5 pounds each. They spent six weeks in the hospital before they were big enough to go home. The boys are now ten and are in perfect health with absolutely no problems at all.

Yes, all her signs are encouraging but she still has a long way to go before she can come home. They figure a minimum of 8 weeks (based on past experience). They have several criteria that Kimberly has to meet to be able to go home. Weight does factor in but mostly because they will not accomplish the other criteria until they have matured.

We are doing our best to involve Emily in the visits and other things related to Kimberly. She is doing fairly well. We are trying to make sure she still feels completely loved.
