She Just Lost My Phone Number!!! That's All, Silly!

I started this other thread while in despair, but . . .

She really DOES like me! She just lost my phone number! I do realize that that’s the thing you say when you get caught trying to avoid someone, but in this case it was true!

When we met last week I thought she liked me as much as I liked her- why would she give me her number if she didn’t like me??? But after I left her two voicemails on two different days, and after a few days she still hadn’t called me back, I was convinced I must have been too forward and just a complete turn-off. BUT THAT’S NOT THE REASON SHE WASN’T CALLING ME BACK!!!

SHE JUST LOST MY PHONE NUMBER!!!

She’s spent the last week trying to track down a common friend of ours so she could get my phone number! She called me today and WE’RE GOING OUT TOMORROW!!!

Thanks for the replies in the other thread!
The “tough love” replies were entirely appropriate and appreciated!

Congrats, I think. But really, you’re talking about cutting yourself (I know, kidding) when someone you just met doesn’t call you back. What’s going to happen when you walk in on her in flagrante delicto with your best friend?

I’m pleased it all worked out.

When you go out with her, how do you intend to explain about “Hate!”, “Bitch!” and her name being carved into your forearms?

My suggestion: wear long sleeves.

I’ll just tell her that she and my mother just happen to have the same name. Just a coincidence really. She’ll have to respect that, right? Or maybe I’ll just go with the long sleeves.

Thanks for taking an interest!

(your “cause” and “effect” comment in the other thread was probably the most constructive reply! You rock.)

I wish I’d seen the other thread. Twice recently I have had people fail to get in touch due to “phone not working” and “lost recharger”. Neither could retrieve messages, neither has any idea what my phone number is - both typed it into the phone when I told them and they just speed dial. I got all silly about them ignoring me…not as bloody silly as you though.

There’s another thread about name coincidences, better post to that for verisimilitude

I’m happy for ya dude. But I hope you don’t act this excited when you go out on the date with her. Just friendly advice…
Although now that I think about it you probably don’t need my advice considering you got this far, just fine, with out me…
