Didn’t see anything on this outside of the Celebrity Deathpool stuff. Sheila Lukins was one of the co-authors of the Silver Palate cookbooks. She died this week of brain cancer.
I love these cookbooks. They aren’t always perfect, but they have some good recipes and give me some great ideas for putting stuff together. She wasn’t as famous as Julia Childs but IMO her recipes, together with her partner Julee Rosso, were much more important in terms of changing the way I approach cooking at home. More often than not I turned to their books when I wanted to do something creative or figure out how to re-create something I’d had out.
