Yes, this is a constant and endless source of interest to me. Cecil covered this subject himself (which I am searching for presently)
For me, to get my system going, nothing like a cup of coffee or a trip to either a book store or library.

Gets me everytime… a cup of coffee and a smoke.
A trip to the grocery store. Coffee on an empty stomach. Alcoholic beverages, but not usually until the next morning. The next morning is unusual for me because “being regular” for me means going once every other day or two.
eating fast food. McDonalds is the worst, followed closely by Burger King and Wendy’s
I don’t shit. I had a rubber stopper surgically implanted in my ass, and I will explode when I turn 50. You’re all invited to the party. It’ll be more fun than front row seats at a Gallagher show.
Coffee. Especially in the morning.
Otherwise, it’s menthol cigarettes. I don’t even smoke anymore, and I hate methols, but if I really, really need to go, and can’t, I’ll bum a menthol somewhere.
This is way TMI, come to think of it.
“going once every other day or two?” Dear lord, you must have four or five John Wayne[sup]TM[/SUP] units of indigested meat in your bowels. Get some fiber, m’kay.
Driving around on a hot day and drinking a quarter of Gatorade does it for me.
Cup of coffee and a cigarette.
Tibs.
Pardon my ignorance, but what does TMI stand for?
Padeye will be shocked and horrified to learn that ‘regular’ for me is once a week or so.
I’m always looking for ways to poop. Although Starbucks is usually a good start
I eat plenty of fiber. I drink plenty of water. I don’t have a problem going to the bathroom. When I go, it’s just a regular BM. Just regular for me isn’t that often.
TMI = Too much information
Lots of stuff about you shocks and horrifies me but that’s part of your charm. I miss our interesting talks. Page me one of these days.
I thought it was healthy to move the mail on a daily basis but maybe I suffer from Beavis syndrone, I poop too much.

I am Cornholio! Bow down before me! I need TP for my bunghole!
I have yet to find anything that works better than coffee and a smoke.
Also a twice a weeker here. Unless I’m sick.
This thread reminded me to bring up my own little question along these lines… remind me to later.
[sub]I can’t believe I’m posting this[/sub]
For me, nothing gets the bowels going quite like a glass of Coca-Cola. It’s not the caffeine because no other caffeinated beverages affect me in this way.
I’ll second the caffeine. A 32 or 44 ouncer ought to help.
Running. I’ve noticed that works like a charm. Whether you want it to or not.
Enough said.
Caffeine especially when it is Coca Cola. I swear it must be carbonated exlax.
HUGS!
Sqrl
psyllium fiber. Amen.
Chinese food shoots through me like a bullet train. Sometimes I won’t even be finished with my meal before stuff starts happening to my insides. Must be the eggrolls.
Coffee, too. But caffeine isn’t good for me anyway.
Can’t say that smoking makes me shit, but drinking makes me shit like a madman the morning after. (Hell, the whole day after, for that matter.)

I’ll cast another vote for the McDicks. Booger King and Wenchy’s don’t have the same effedt, though. Actually, the best is a few MD cheeseburgers, then a nice road trip. Must be something about the vibration in the car, but MAN does it loosen ya up.
Dried fruit works, too. One time, I ate an entire bag of banana chips in the car. Whoops! Good thing it was a short trip…otherwise I mightna made it. :o
I’ve been meaning to post the following question to GQs, but this seems the most appropriate forum now:
What is in caffiene and nicotine that gets things in motion? I once dated a girl that had a cigarette and a cup of coffee every morning for just this reason.
I’m as regular as clockwork - everyday, around 8:15 or 8:30. I’m the one in the stall all the way at the end. Please don’t knock.
When things haven’t been working right, I go to the gym and get in a good workout, followed by a steam, and a hot shower. That relieves whatever stress I’m under and things seem to loosen up after that.
