Shodan's Angels

Oh you poor, sad, misunderstood soul. Here you go make this blindingly brilliant observation that there are no angels, which is clearly an insightful and visionary analysis of Shodan’s unbelievable temerity in thinking the angel thing was a witty remark and nobody gets you. Except it wasn’t.

  1. I doubt anyone thought it would.
  2. You entirely missed the point of the title. As in completely. As in if the actual point walked up and stuck its tongue down your throat you still wouldn’t notice it.
  3. It’s not that nobody understands what you wanted to say. It’s that nobody understands how anyone with functioning brain cells would think it was a point that had any merit whatsoever.
  4. Which is why you have not a scintilla of a case.
  5. And all your outrage and frustration is only making it funnier. Please carry on.

I guess the parody’s over.

Must’ve been a parody error.

So this bit is going in the bit bucket?

That’s pretty funny, especially for a Brit! (Don’t y’all actually pronounce your Ts?)

Princhester, your problem isn’t that people don’t understand you, your problem is that people do understand you.

Tris

argh, either half the thread is trying to woosh the other half, or half the thread isn’t actually reading the thread! :smack:

Which half are you a member of?

That’s the one where Anaheim beat them?

Sailboat

There’s no such thing as Anaheim.

Certainly lacks byte.

And just for another tangentially related semi-Shakespeare quote, “conspiracy of the cartographers, then?”

Regards,
Shodan

There was no 2004 Word Series. What are you talking about? **Alessan ** obviously brought up the year 2004 to keep it abstract. It had nothing to do with the California Los Angelos Angels of Anaheim off route 5 near Disney Land team.

Jim {Rabid Yankee Fan}

So you believe in “Anaheim” too? Fuckin’ A. I suppose you’re gonna tell me this is some “happy place” where “good little boys and girls” go and hang out with fairies and shit.

Fantasyland[sup]TM[/sup], man. Nothing but a fucking Fantasyland[sup]TM[/sup].

Actually, it’s closer to the 57 than it is to the 5. But otherwise, I agree that there was no World Series in 2004.

silenus (rabid Dodgers fan, who would rather watch women’s golf than root for either the Angels or the Giants!)

All these comments about a fanciful place called “Anaheim” are knott berry funny at all!

Well actually, I meant both to be directed at the people who still seem to be genuinely outraged, meaning that either A) they are wooshing us by pretending to be outraged by what at this point seems pretty clearly to be a parody thread, or B) They simply haven’t noticed that it’s a parody thread.

I suppose there’s option C) it really is something to be outraged about, and those of us treating it as a parody are missing something

And that is why non-Americans should never, *ever *use baseball analogies.

Good sir, google the 2004 World Series and you will see why it never took place to this Rabid Yankee Fan. You are trying ‘not’ to think of 2002.

Jim

I’m trying hard not to think of World Series’ that don’t involve the Dodgers winning. Unfortunately, this doesn’t occupy much of my tiny brain at all. :frowning:

In any case, Anaheim is a kind of pepper, not a “real-world” place.
