BTW, your prof sounds like a dick… I teach in the afternoons, so I wouldn’t have been in class at the time. But I don’t have a problem with people using technology in class, as long as there isn’t a lot of racket and they’re discreet. I’d be thankful that the student was actually, you know, sharing information that could save lives, rather than making a point about the evils of checking your texts in class. :rolleyes:
I kind of feel bad for him. He was brilliant, quiet and came from a good family. He had the world by the, ahem… Yet he chooses to die like a coward. I personally don’t think he was a murderer. He was just a quiet guy dying to be something he was not, an attention whore.
I think he felt invisable and wanted to be visable.
Same here. His teachers described him as brilliant, meticulous, respectful. By all accounts from those who knew him well he was the last person you’d ever imagine would act out in such an agressive and public manner. Furthermore, what’s strange is that not only is it out of character but, like you say, the act itself made no sense. The whole thing’s just a real headscratcher.
