I’ve got a thing or two I could say about The Liquidation Channel. Like the fact that a lot of what they sell is shit. Also, they don’t identify their genuine gemstone jewelry as such with those little identifying cards most manufacturers put in the boxes. Makes you wonder why, doesn’t it? Also, they don’t let you return anything–at least not the things you’ve won in the auctions.
Well, I got my Earth Origins boots the other day from QVC and they’re already on their way back. Defective insoles, suede shopworn in places… 
Maybe if these vendors had their products made in the U.S. rather than in Chinese sweatshops, there might be more quality control. But then, that would cut into their and QVC’s profits, wouldn’t it?
I’ve already mentioned on here Grater’s TSV puffer coat, and I don’t want to talk about it ad nauseam, but the slew of one-star reviews are hilarious! One buyer described it as a “gorilla suit”, another said the sizing is so off they felt like a stuffed turkey in it, lol. The pattern was apparently cut wrong because the coat flares out in the back like a duck’s ass, plus the lining hangs out inches from the sleeves, the hoods are so big they fall down over your nose…
One would hope that some of the air would be taken out of Grater’s sails (and ego) as a result, but we know better.

We tend to remark mostly on current hosts and vendors, so it’s likely she has been spared any of our “constructive criticisms”.
And not everyone is the target of our slings and arrows. There are some, both past and present, that are generally “liked”, or at least considered unobjectionable enough to be spared much comment.

Our Shawnie Poo is on doing a live audience show. With her undoubtedly long-suffering hubby Joe in the audience. I look forward to seeing if she’ll happily tell embarrassing personal stories about him even while he’s sitting right there. My guess is a resounding “YES!” lol
Is it just me or does it seem like QVC is not giving a shit that tonight is Lisa’s last show? I don’t see any farewell wishes on their website. And I’ve seen commercials about her Posh show but no mention of it being her last show or we wish her well in her new adventures.
I did hear Mary Beth this morning say it’s a sad day because it’s Lisa last day. But I’ve not heard anyone else mention it.
I do believe when Kathy Levine left for bigger and better things they made a big deal out of her Farewell Show. Maybe the Q is saving the fanfare and surprises for tonight. Or maybe they are thrilled her two months notice is over and they are glad she’s gone!
Oh, I think they give a shit. I think they canned her and are relieved to finally see the back of her, after such a protracted public notice of her “leaving”. But we’ll see tonight how they handle it.
Meanwhile, Our Shawn is being shockingly well behaved so far in her live “show” with hubby in the audience, too. Disappointingly so!
Although her “Hear my Soul Speak” ring is being presented now, perhaps she’ll “bring it” by letting her soul spew a real soul sucking sales pitch, per usual.

Lisa was on with Judith Ripka last night and was demoing the big important ring
(yeah, it’s big – and important and monied and Hamptons)
and Lisa puts it on her middle finger “And you middle finger gals, try it on your middle finger” as she gestured repeatedly and overmuch with her middle finger. Yes, she’s done it before, but on her second-to-last day, it took on new significance.
She is over the top, isn’t she! My favorite (and all makeup companies are guilty of it) is “it’s makeup that looks like you don’t have any makeup on”. I find myself yelling at the TV: You know what else looks like you don’t have any makeup on? Not wearing makeup!
Yeah, I’m not a fan of makeup.
Heh. Yeah and usually all are guilty of saying this while I’m thinking they most definitely look exactly like they are wearing a shit ton of makeup. 
Although I do enjoy makeup a bit. I always wear it for work or if I’m going out anywhere for longer than a quick run to the store - where IDGAF if I scare a little kid or two.
And I pretty much aim for a “no makeup makeup” look myself most of the time. Which ironically, does seem to take quite a bit of makeup to achieve.
I loved Elizabeth Taylor but the jewelry in this show so far is sending me to snoozeville as is Lisa. I hate when these hosts say stuff like how they would like to see you wear whatever piece they are presenting. I mean who really gives a rats ass when it comes to how a TV salesperson wants jewelry to be worn when the viewer is the person paying for it?
Well, it was getting a little interesting when I swore that OAP for the Elizabeth Taylor replica joo-ree was on his way to telling us about Dick and Liz having a knock down, drag out fist fight over a lost pearl…:eek:
I hate it when an OAP states that they’re nervous, as the Elizabeth Taylor Rep did. I makes me nervous as well. I like how Lisa held his hand for the first few minutes. He seems to have calmed down and I’m enjoying him.
I haven’t seen her shoes yet, but I think Lisa got it right tonight. Gorgeous, flattering dress. Nicely manicured nails. Hair, well, as good as you can expect.
