I ask because I have the free version and I am wondering if the one you pay for has features like no net-congestion or chatter, which I already “enjoy” with the free version.
Thanks

RealPlayer is the worst program ever. I cannot believe that they actually sell it to people for real money. Perhaps the full version lacks all of the free one’s shortcomings, but I don’t see how anyone could trust them with their money after using such a crappy piece of software. I think it would make good business sense to have the free version of your flagship product be really good, so people will know to expect quality and pay for some advanced features. I guess they’ve decided that people will get so fed up with the free version that they’ll risk some cash to see if it gets better.
Umm, sorry, Quasi, I don’t actually know the answer to your question; I just hate the software so much that I had to rant.
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
But I require two:
HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NO.
Better alternatives? My freebie sucks too.
Peace,

I don’t have it, but I’ll bet the net congestion is more the fault of your ISP’s connection than the version of player you’re using. One thing I noticed big-time when I finally got a cable connection was the ability to listen to radio & such with no buffering and stalling of the broadcast.
