Should I see Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure?, need answer fast

Dust. Wind.

Dude.

ETA: and you totally must see the sequel! It is most egregious. Station!

You mean Socrates Johnson, Dennis Frood, Herman the Kid, Maxine of Arc, Bob Genghiskhan and…uhhm…Abraham Lincoln?

The air’s clean, the water’s clean, even the dirt, it’s clean!

Oh, and it’s a history report, not a babe report!

Our little local gem even has it’s own wiki page, I’m so proud.

So I liked the movie, didn’t think it was great. I will say that ‘be excellent to each other and party on, Dudes,’ is as valid a sociopolitical philosophy as any. And I’m, like, totally dibbing Socrate’s Johnson as my back up username.

By the way, the three future people sitting on the pedestal, or whatever, were Clarence Clemons of the E Street Band, Fee Waybill of the Tubes, and Martha Davis of the Motels, with Joan of Arc played by the lovely Jane Weidlin of the Go-Go’s.

That’s Mister The Kid to you, dude.

Edit: just to reiterate.

I think he may have been my favorite character. Smugg little tin dictator really loosened up by the end.

When he meet his “waterloo” was probably the best part, and if you ever put the real Napoleon in that situation I think he might actually act that way.

Best four out of seven?

The weird thing about finally seeing a movie that came out 20 years ago is that you’ll find yourself wanting to recite some lines… but you can’t exactly steer a conversation to talk about Bill & Ted (umm, unless you’re on here apparently :))

“Remember when your mom was a senior and we were freshmen?”
“Shut up, Ted!”

I first saw it the Saturday of opening weekend. Afterward, I came home, flipped on the tube, and there were Kirk and the Gorn fighting it out. I can only assume the programming guy saw it Friday evening and substituted Arena for the scheduled Trek episode – it’s too much to think it was just coincidence.

Hi, I want to add my voice to the chorus telling you to go and see it.

Yes, definitely.

Son of a… are they on Blu-Ray, yet?

Yes, see it. Rock solid entertainment for all ages except for those who can’t (or won’t) get past the surfer dude thing. My kids and I have been using quotes from this classic for what, 15 years? Not only is it a lot of fun but it isn’t a bad introduction to history for children. I mean, it’s about two dudes working on their history report, right?

You must see this movie, if only to see Keanu Reeves in the role he was born to play.

I still remember seeing it on the big screen.
The opening segment with Big Pig’s Breakaway had me tapping my foot in the aisle.

Dust.
Wind.
Dude!

Just three words, but impossible to read without breaking into spontaneous laughter once you have seen this film.

Definitely the best quote of the movie.

“Remember when I asked her to the prom?”

“Shut UP, Ted!!”

so what did the OP think about the movie after seeing it?
