What about being a brain-dead moronic troll who can’t stop himself from starting three consecutive threads on the same stupid topic, who finally gets a warning for being an insufferable asshole?
Fuck off, troll.
It’s easy to make unsupported accusations, isn’t it?
Feigned ignorance? You accuse me of being feigned?
Unsupported allegations everywhere.
I think it’s time to nominate this thread as another hugely successful LinusK effort which, as always, has added fantastic value to the board and enriched our lives. With LinusK, it never fails!
You’re a troll. Your OP is my cite.
You started the same thread 3 times. Yes, you are feigning.
Oh, look what I found when I googled it.

Here’s my prediction; the only men who will participate in this farce will be useless whiners whose absence would normally be enjoyed by the rest of us. The only problem will be that they’re going to spend all day posting on the internet.
What was that word again? Oh yeah, feigning. I do not think it means what you think it means.
For what it’s worth, I think your ignorance is genuine.
Thank you.
Well, in my defense, I’m not the one who put it in the pit.
Who knows what would have happened otherwise?
It would have been locked and you would have been warned.
And it’s also a lot more deeply-ingrained than you may be aware.
One out of two ain’t bad.
All rhetoric aside, all men taking a day off from work would likely have a substantially larger impact on the nation and economy than all women taking a day off from work.
On the bright side, this thread is a break from the 8,926 other Pit threads on He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Toupee’d; it’s nice to have a change of topic.
(way to bring the Pit down with an actual discussion Velocity :p)
There actually not a lot of good data out there. What I can find is older. This NBC News story from 2011 references Bureau of Labor Statistics and states that:
Think Progress reports some additional numbers from a story on a report from the Center for American Progress from 2014, including the data point that “women’s contribution to GDP also translates to more than $1.7 trillion in greater output.”
I think you can only take certain parts of this statement to be true:
-Economic impact from work will be greater for men than women = true, given higher presence of men and given wage disparity looking only at working men and working women (I’m not sure that it’s “substantial” any longer)
-Overall economic impact on the nation, if you look at all that women contribute, including housework and most importantly childcare, is likely to be greater if women take the day off from all of their duties
I think it’s safe to say that this was the loudest whoosh in the history of the board. I mean, we’re talking about a full squadron of B-1’s all busting through the sound barrier at a height of 10 feet kind of whoosh.
