I dated another redhead for over a year. She was crazy. Which, as far as I know, had less to do with her being a redhead than it had with her simply being crazy.

i’ve noticed inter-red (natural colour) dating/living together/married rarely happens. there are quite a few reds in my 'hood (heavily irish) they all have other hair colour loves.

For some reason, guys don’t seem to fare as well, being ginger. A lot of redheaded guys just look goofy. Redheaded girls rarely do – if anything, being a redhead seems to make up for other things that might have goofy otherwise. I’m in the US, though, and I understand that in the UK it’s reasonably common to get picked on for being a redhead in the first place, so we’re probably an anomaly…

Our across the street neighbors when my daughter was born were both redheads…and the same shade of red…the orange-y one. And all five of their kids had the same hair color. I never once considered incest…just figured that picked-on people tend to seek each other out! They were certainly adorable together, and never had to wear matching t-shirts at amusement parks to pick each other out in the crowd…

Actually, a disproportionate amount of my ex-girlfriends were redhead. I don’t know what it was about me that attracted redheads. Of course, I was also attracted to redheads, but I was also attracted to brunettes, blondes, etc. Actually, I was pretty much attracted to anything female and breathing. But I digress…
100% of my redheaded ex-girlfriends were crazy, in one way or another (discounting the craziness of choosing to date me). I’ll disagree with Skip, and say that hair color does have something to do with it.
As a natural red head I can say that I wouldn’t mind dating a guy with red hair, or any other colored hair for that matter! My only requirements are that you are sexy and a responsible adult.

I’ve never dated another redhead, as I tend to be strongly attracted to men of a far darker variety. Plus, I think it’s useful to spread the recessive genes out a bit. This way, we’ll be a pleasant surprise a few generations down the road. There’s always something startling to me about an entire family of redheads. I think we’re a naturally solitary species.

No. Especially if said redhead has a redhead brother like I do. It’s not good when people can’t tell your boyfriend from your brother. Like CaerieD, I’m almost always attracted to guys with very dark hair, black especially. Blond guys rarely, redheads never.
Of course the ickiness of dating another redhead is entirely the fault of all the stupid blond/e and dark-haired people who grew up asking us “So and so has red hair too, are you siblings?” every time they saw another redhead. No wonder most of us are turned off by the thought of dating other redheads! You know, I honestly think the most unrealistic part of the Harry Potter books is that both of Ron’s parents have red hair. I don’t think JK grew up with any redheads.
