Show us your Jack o'Lantern!

I’ve never carved one before but I’m really happy with how it turned out!

I haven’t obtained the raw material for my 2023 o’Lantern, but here’s a nice one from a couple years ago:

Little bit more advanced than I can do!

I think I was just lucky. Neither previous years nor subsequent years were on par with that one! I googled an artist I remembered (Greg Irons, underground cartoonist) and tried to mimic one of his creepier renditions.

I’m rather proud of this one I did a couple of years ago. Unlike many of mine, I designed it rather than cutting it from someone else’s pattern. You’ll probably recognize the inspiration for it.

Looks great!

That’s awesome @markn_1 !!

My friends and I have been getting together every year to carve pumpkins, since 1998. So I guess this was the 25th year? Here’s ours. Mine is the flaming Jack on the top. Gomez Addams was done by a 12 year old!

Nice!!!

@markn_1 yours too!

We’re not making jack o’lanterns this year due to our vacation, but here are a couple from a few years ago.

Mine is on the left (not as good as previous years), and my wife’s first jack o’lantern is on the right.

Here are a couple I made the year before that.

Some fine examples! Thread makes me sad, thinking back to when me and the kid used to carve. That’s all gone now.

Is it the avatar of a poster here? I know this looks familiar, but I can’t think of it. Please tell.

King Crimson album cover

Oh yes. Thank you!

Does someone here use that King Crimson image as their avatar?

You can carve one for yourself! That’s what I did :jack_o_lantern:

The thought is too depressing.

My daughter is painting pumpkins this year.

We always painted. Needed those pumpkin guts for later endeavor.

We have many pumpkins and squash outside as decorations, but they will all eventually be roasted and consumed, so no carving.

I love those bumpy pumpkins.
