It is interesting how much this show makes me cringe each week. I do feel slightly guilty for watching it. I really can’t see how this is going to affect the participants careers in any positive way, with the possible exception of the youngest Jordan.
Anyway, my thoughts…
Shane- Well, now we see that Shane is as good at acting as he is at dancing and singing. He seems like a nice enough kid but there just isn’t any noticable talent there.
Emily- What a poor little girl. I love how her mom describes the evil show biz mom, then proudly proclaims “but thats not what I am”. Uh yeah lady, thats exactly what you are.
The Nutters - Geez dad, great relationship with your son, Aaron. What a meaningful conversation, “Uh, I don’t know”. What exactly is the mom thinking by letting this happen. Grow a spine, lady.
Jordan (elder) - Hey, it’s the drug family. What a great idea to take sedatives before an audition. Wonder where the daughter got that idea? Maybe from mom, who chooses to take some drugs of her own and zonk out on the couch. Oh wait, I forgot, Tylenol PM isn’t a drug. Uh-huh.
Jordan (younger)- This kid has a chance, mostly because of her solid upbringing. It’s very easy to see the positive relationship she has with her mother. I especially liked the mom’s explanation that her discipline has nothing to do with her daughters career, but rather, is “life lessons 101”. It isn’t a big surprise that kid actualy has a career that is going somewhere.
