My daughter had the latest season of Stranger Things on last night. The teen romance/angst makes it suck and I didn’t like it much to start. iCarly started to suck when the kids got old enough to begin dating. Ditto Drake and Josh, especially because the former fat-ass expected to be taken seriously as a sekshie dood.
Which is arguably better than another Cousin Oliver.
I think it depends on the show and how the handle it.
The iCarly kids grew up and started to date, yeah, but their prime demographic got older with them and we’re likely more interested in that then which skit Sam and Carly would do on the show that week.
However, it never, ever ever gets old when Spencer sets something on fire. This one has always been my favorite.
Give them another 5 years and they turn back into human beings again.
