a moebius post, as it were…
yes–I specifically eschewed “ventilating”
I’m lucky when I can remember the beginning of ONE post by the end–I rarely do 4 in one, mostly because the bandwidth of this site is to stingy, and my “free” wi-fi so marginal, that I often lose contact half way through the handshake–hence, I post one at a time, so I lose one at a time…
and fuck y’all if that chafes your chaps, or whatever the metaphor of your choice…
But the threads where I personally got to experience the pheah are the most lovely titled GD thread, We got the guy who got Sama’s kidneys;so of course he’s at Gitmo. Kafka, we need you which exhibits some nice multi-responding, whacked out spelling and grammar, personal insults, misquoting, etc. and then we have alaricthegoth’s own embarassment, I knew Lenny Bruce. He was a friend of mine.Jon Stewart IS Lenny Bruce.
I really want to be heard in support of “Netanyahu says:Jew Balls Too Small”…
Anent Stewart:Wade Davis is with me…
, That nyquil is the shizzle…!
Th’art a saucy wench, withal…
"Gillespie, 53, claims that Marlowe and Bob Charpentier, a 52-year-old Oregon resident, insulted him and harassed him in the AOL chatroom called “Romance — Older Men” to the point where it inflicted “severe emotional distress and physical injury that is of a nature no reasonable man could be expected to endure it.”
Now, here is a guy who apparently dod not take his pitting in the jocular spirit with which it was offered…
That’s six posts in a row, everyone. Who picked six posts in the pool?
That was almost poetic
I have no idea what any of that meant…
My so-called friends are forever shouting me down for misusing the word ‘ironic’ as carelessly as Alanis Morissette, so I need an expert opinion:
Is it or is it not ironic that Alaric is as incoherently whacked-out, inarticulate and incomprehensible as his beloved President G.W. ‘Chimpy McFlightsuit’ Bush?
Any members of the Irony PD present?
Perhaps IRL he’s Bush’s evil twin? The Bush brother they don’t talk about much? :dubious:
It’s only Morrisette ironic. Like rain. On your wedding day.
The funny thing is that the boy is holding his own just fine in this thread, even with the pile on in full force. He’s laughing at himself, fucking with people, whooshing them, laughing at them, etc. It reminds me of a gang of people crowding someone into a corner with scary looks on their faces, and then the camera pans out to show the person they were supposedly crowding standing behind them watching with a patronizing smile on his face. He may be crazy, but you’re not going to beat him this way.
I’m not too worried about his psyche at this point, as it’s pretty obvious that he’ll come out of this and every other pit thread completely unscathed.
I didn’t pit him for the sake of working off angst or to scare him. My only point was to point out to him that at some point, if he doesn’t change his ways, he’s going to get kicked off the board. That he isn’t afraid of anyone–even if only because he’s too hopped up to care–really doesn’t matter. I don’t even care whether he stays in GD or not. Simply, this is my advice to him for him for being able to get what he wants to out of life. If he’s laughing himself off in a corner–that’s just his misfortune.
Neil?

Jesus Christ, it’s the fuckin’ internet for god’s sake.
I will never see ANY OF YOU face to face.
I have a hard time giving a socially adequate fuck about the opinion of people I actually have to interact with.
To be succinct: If it’s not a job interview, and I don’t want to fuck your daughter, I can’t really crank up a whole lot of motivation about whether or not you like me…

…if only…
…
Honestly, this here, this is a philosophy of life that I could go along with.
To start with, I’ll stop wearing a suit and tie while moderating. Baby steps, y’know?
Well, we both had our finest hours naked on the top of a bar, altho he did it at his frat house for free…
one day at a time…
