Shut Up Vince McMahon

Naah.

They need to bring back the Shockmaster, lack of balance and silver StormTrooper mask and all…

Let’s not forget the, “heel on his knees, begging for mercy from the big strong hero,” routine that he’s got down pat. Heck, that schtick is older than Ric himself.

And from what I understand, Mick may have some role in Summerslam.

I see your Shockmaster and raise you a KISS Demon.

Or maybe some celebrity wrestlers again, is Rodman available?

Since it is relevant to the thread, I feel no shame about this:

Hogan vs. McMahon: The Feud of the Decade, written by yours truly.

Pfft.

I see your Kiss Demon and Rodman. I raise you a Bastion Booger and Jay Leno.

hardygrrl, who has the wrestlecrap cd and the book on pre-order

Need I remind you that the Shockmaster was a WCW idea, and cannot be blamed on Vince?

And never mind Bastion Booger. I top it all with T.L. Hopper and Laurence Taylor.

Ahem. The Ding-Dongs, humpbacks that could not be pinned?

George Ringo, the Wrestling Beatle?

www.wrestlecrap.com is your friend, folks. Not to mention weirdworldofwrestling, may it rest in peace.

Still, I’ve got to admit my favorite bit at last Wrestlemania was Vince versus Hogan. Specially the bit where Vince rose, sharklike, eyebrow raised, over the mat of the ring…

Curses! Beaten to the Wrestlecrap link! Still, I shall get first mention of the upcoming book and how I look forward to it.

I agree with the comments about the bad-taste gimmicks and storylines - they’ve turned me off wrestling lately (altho I’ll have to start watching again in anticipation for the Australian tour later on this month…)

That may be where he is from, but Glen aka Kane resides here in east Tennessee, and I have been lucky enough to meet him on several occasions through my job. Glen is one of the nicest, soft-spoken, genuine, and largest people I have ever met. He did a fantastic job with the whole unmasking angle - IMHO.

You know I have been pondering starting a WWE thread in the “Cafe”. Obviously though I might just get laughed out of the forum. . . anyone here willing to come and give me back-up? It seems as if there are several Doper wrasslin’ fans. Whatcha think?

HOLD IT …JUST HOLD IT ONE DAMN MINUTE!..WRESTLINGS FAKE?..:0

Ah, but the real world is faker than professional wrestling, according to Mr. Foley.

You’re a wrestling fan, NothingMan? Dude, we’ve got to talk wrestling at the next DopeFest. Too bad it didn’t come up at the one in Knoxville. I can go on about it just as much as I can Trek.

And by all means, start a thread. Screw the elitist asshats that’ll look down on us for discussing it. It’s no worse than the fifty bajillion LotR, Star Wars, and Star Trek (:)) threads in there already.

So far as this topic goes… yeah, McMahon’s an ass. If you’ve been watching wrestling for any amount of time, you should know that.

And whoever said Cena can rap (and better than Eminem?!) is touched in the head. He talks. Slowly. In rhyme. That is not rapping.

-Aesiron : Doesn’t get the Foley love.

Foley: Big, slow, goony guy, who actually cares about the sport.

ALSO, can and has put himself through some horrible, horrible, horrible things because he’s just that darn good. He can make any match look good just by showing up and doing a little of his trademark stumbling mic work.

Course, I still like Hogan, so what do I know?

To be The Man, you’ve got to beat The Man.

And I am … The Man.

Whooooooo!

I hate Hogan and despite loving him as a child, I hate Piper now too. They’re past their prime and don’t wrestle well in addition to taking time away from active competitors who are in their prime and do wrestle well.

Guess which one of these rather broad groups Foley falls into? That’s right… the first one. So why is it that most (online) fans scream their heads off about Hogan, Piper, et al but don’t care to have Foley taking up thirty minutes or more of TV programming? I just don’t get it.

I heard Piper was just fired… is this so? Will he be on that much-maligned NWA now? The one without a TV contract?

Knowing Roddy, he’ll be there and bad mouthing the WWE…just like he did before Vince waved money at him.
That’s what the current problem with the WWE is. Instead of working on writing or pushing talented people (RVD/Booker/Benoit), they go to the nostalgia well far too often. I wouldn’t be surprised if they brought the corpse of Andre the Giant back at this point.

They did. He’s called the Big Show.

Like when they had that Gimmick Match, or series of matches?

I wanna see Doink, Doink, and Dink again.

Go for it. If you don’t I will.
