Shut Up Vince McMahon

Because Foley is entertaining. He’s funny, good on the mic, and has a humorous sense of self-deprication that fans like. Hogan and Piper just scream catch phrases and hokey pseudo-threats. They are bad, Foley is good.

Yeah, well… this fan doesn’t. N’yah. :stuck_out_tongue:

-Aesiron : Hating.

Wait, so Big bossman stole Andre’s tombstone, when it was actually Show’s?

Don’t make me lay the smacketh down on your candy ass.

<sniffle> I miss the Rock and his abs.

Now now, don’t be haterizing…

You missed the perfect chance to tell me “Don’t hate the Player, hate the Game.”

You call yourself a wrestling fan? For shame.

We all hate The Game. Oh, yes, make him go away, make him go away. Please?

You want to take one for the team and go woo Stephanie? :stuck_out_tongue:

Me! Me! Pick me! I’ll take one for the team! Me!
Aesiron : Neither likes nor dislikes HHH; loves the former SMH.

You go ahead, I’ll be checking on Rob Van Dam. Yes, that’s it. Checking on Rob…

What? Not a 1.0 fan?

I don’t mind Trip so much… except for so much of him. I totally agree with the “Poochie” remark.

I was more of a Jeff fan but I do have my moments of Mattitude.

"And when he’s not around, people should ask ‘Where’s Poochie?’ "

Does anyone else think the new Rico as “flaming gay man” character is a hoot? When he was prancing around the ring pinching the refs ass, I swear I almost inhaled my cheese puffs. Sure this bit has been done before (Chuck and Billy) but the way Rico goes so over the top with it is highly entertaining. Did anyone ever see “Lenny and Bruce” on NWA-TNA? The Rico idea appears to be a direct rip-off. Seems Vince is watching the competition. . . after all it was NWA-TNA where Zach (“Tenacious Z”) the one legged wrestler came from.

So Hogan has left for XWF, I just don’t think one wrestler can make a difference. Hogan is going to have a big load to carry. Not sure I get his logic, but whatever.

Rico is either going to be Golddust mark 2, or total crap.

Hm. Rico and Golddust teaming. Or against each other… though I think that’s where people start tearing their eyes out.

Rico and (WWF era) Goldust don’t have anything in common other than their deviant lifestyles.

Rico’s the flamboyantly flaming homosexual character that was portrayed by others like Billy and Chuck, Lenny Lane, and, way back in the day when I was but a wee lad, Adrian Adonis.

Goldust, on the other hand, was a rather dark bisexual that used his perverse behaviour to psych out his opponents, as far as I can remember. Granted, I was never a WWF fan (I watch it now because WCW went under and I still need a fix) but I seem to remember there being more to the Marlena/Goldust relationship than the Jackie/Rico one.

WWE era Goldust is just some weird guy in a gold outfit.

Rico was to be a great natural flame; I don’t know, he looked burned out on Raw. Sometimes Gay is great when it is ambiguous; not obvious! Goldust established himself as one of the best actors in the WWF/E.

They were married IRL and have a daughter.

Yes, I know. They met in WCW while Terri was Alexandra York and Dustin was Dustin Rhodes. I was referring to the characters they played though, not their real identities.

You forgot about your love Heyman.

And his scullet.

:stuck_out_tongue:

You’re absolutely right. I am chastened. As pennance, I shall go watch a Triple H promo.

Rico’s moves seem vaguely reminiscent of a wrestler’s from long, long ago who was a ballet dancer before he turned to wrestling. But for the life of me, I can’t remember his name. Only the ballet dancer’s moves weren’t so overtly homoerotic. The question is, is Rico’s character a step forward or a step back?

By the by, part of what made Rico’s moves so great was Maven’s reactions to them, especially the hotel key.

As for the Goldust discussion, I always thought of him as more of a character who indulged in every kind of dark excess, rather than in terms of sexuality. Interestingly enough, “Goldust”, or rather Dustin Rhodes, was recently called for jury duty. I have a mental image of a black-and-gold guy serving as foreman.
