In the original Game Room thread I countered the hysteria (in that thread) about the Epic client being spyware, how they can steal your info, blah blah. Every time a new digital game store client is released there seems to be that kind of insanity. The Origin client used to be that way, and I linked to old articles/discussions about it, then I linked to later articles/discussions about how people were idiots for thinking that.
I won’t defend Epic’s business practices though. Especially the bit about putting on sales against developers’ wishes. What asshats. Nobody with an ounce of sense would do business with an organization that pulls that kind of crap. I’d say from this point, whoever makes a deal with Epic gets what they deserve.
