Signature Lines

Mine is a concept I choose to live by. You would be amazed at how oftn it works.

Ive always found it easer to get forgiveness rather than permission.

I was keeping several different versions of a signature for my email at work, and would change them occasionally for variety.

I do a lot of communicating with the home company in Germany, and I guess it tends to confuse them. Or they just don’t have a sense of humor.

So I quit. It’s a hell of a system anyway. They only have one email address for the whole company, ad they always reply to the email by printing out and faxing back the message I sent to them.

But we had one of them with us for a year and a half, and now he’s gone back, and surprisingly enough, they are going to upgrade to W98 from W3.1, and get individual email, and all that modern stuff.

Back in my teens, I used to run the roads with a pack of delinquints. One of them was nicknamed “wolfie”, I dont know how he got the name, but it stuck, so I would say in an old lady voice, (like little red riding hood’s granny) “Anitcha gonna eat me Wolfie??”

To which he would growl: “Aint got time Grandma!”

**Implying that granny wanted oral pleasures from the wolf

"Aint’cha gonna eat me Wolfie?

"Aint got the time, Grandma!"

Mine is a quote from a friend…

“I have a way with small pretentious lap dogs”

Sealemons always makes me think of cheese whiz!

Information is the key to survival-Abbie Hoffman.

I found mine in a book by Larry King.He said he was there when Lenny stood in front of an audience of senior citizens and told them this, that it would freak everyone out!Lenny was the Master.

Freedom will cure most things-A.S.Neil,Summerhill

Oops.I made a mistake.So sorry.Wrong sig line.Here it is in case I confused you!

Pick your neighbors nose-Lenny Bruce.

mine is a quote & a statement of my personal philosophy.

We have met the enemy, and He is Us.–Walt Kelly

Beefymeg, Shoot, you got there first. I just saw that yesterday on a bumper sticker, and almost fell down in the parking lot. I’ve been telling people for quite a while that we’re all headed for that Montana container company. (You know, Helena Handbasket?)

Mine is from the 1968 version of The Wizard of Oz staring Sidney Portier.

They call me MISTER Wizard!

I’ve always loved the quote I use.

The reason should be obvious.

‘They couldn’t hit an Elephant from this dist…!’

Last words of General John Sedgwick

This line is even better when you say it out loud…

oops, forgot the sig line! Here it is:

“I’d rather have a bottle in front of me that a frontal lobotomy!” - W. Nelson

I like “yer pal, Satan”. It’s like a sly wink at the end of each post. I smile every time I read it.

I’m too indecisve to have a sig line of my own.

Veb

I like Satan’s sig!

At work, I set my email up to get a different sig from a list of quotes for every email I send. Unfortunately my home email is not quite that flexible.

Quixotic - the difference is that some people realize that they don’t know everything and are willing to listen to other peoples ideas and opinions!

I think my sig is appropriate for this board.

Mastery is not perfection but a journey, and the true master must be willing to try and fail and try again

TV–You could always make that your sig line.

I’m looking to come up with a new one myself…

My sig is Latin for “Seize this!” I think. I’ve been hoping one of the TMs will call me on this so I can correct it if it’s wrong. I’ve been wanting to get it on a T-shirt, but I want to know if it’s right, first.

Carpe hoc!

Just changed mine again. The new one is a line from a They Might Be Giants song.

Laugh hard; it’s a long way to the bank.

I just wanted to share my new one. It hit my like a ton of bricks from the television last night. Thank you, Fox!

“I love God! He’s so deliciously evil!” - Stewie Griffin, Family Guy

I love the sig lines - sometimes they’re the best part of a post.

And they’re easy to change, so you’re not stuck with the same one forever.

I have as much authority as the Pope; I just don’t have as many people who believe it! - George Carlin
