Signs or graffiti that give you pause...

Very popular back in the day:

“Don’t switch Dicks in the middle of a screw,
Vote for Nixon in '72.”

Yeah, well we all got screwed on that one.

Nitpick - that would be Route 195

Signpost with three signs on it:

One Way –>
Dead End –>
<– No Parking Any Time

Not very impressive, but once I found a sign complete with a tent that said:
TENT FOR RENT. $5
I’m sure it was meant as a joke, but my friends and I seriously contemplated renting the tent for a night and sleeping in the backyard.

I was in a meeting, in a church basement no less, and saw this on the folding chair in front of me

boobies

No context. I like boobies and random references to boobies, but I just thought it unusual for the location.

As a former fellow commuter along that corridor, I can tell you that the other side of that sign reads “COMING SOON”. It is always a bit amusing to see this.

There’s been a sign near us for years pointing to a new neighborhood that says
"New Historic Homes!"

Twice now on my commute to work I’ve wound up behind a truck with large letters announcing “BM Plumbing.”

I also enjoy the dot matrix display on the 405 near the interchange with the 10. “Work zone: 55 MPH speed limit strictly enforced,” it says. You get to look at the sign for a good 3 minutes as you crawl by at a leisurely walking pace. Anybody actually achieving 55 mph through that area should submit it to Guinness.

Sometimes on those huge electronic programmable signs they use for Amber Alerts, they’ll change them to:

Drink.
Drive.
Go to Jail.

Is that a suggestion?
