I have no clue for how long this has been happening, or if it always did. I just changed my sig today and I found that all of my posts for the past have changed to my new sig. Wow I had no clue that happens…kinda freaky…
It’s a vBulletin thing. I noticed it when I attempted to make a slight alteration of my sig in one post just for comic effect, and it changed all of them. UBB never used to do that. Also, if you’ll notice, when posters change their names, that change is made retroactively as well. All of Cristi’s old posts now show up as Persephone. It is confusing, and I liked the old way better, but when it comes to a trade-off between retroactive signatures and crashing all the time, guess which one I’d pick?
The old hands seem to put the sig into the post, probably with a keypad macro. There are several at the freeware download sites, like winfiles.com
it changes the user name as well, oh lord this is going to blow my mind!
