I didn’t get to see the couch gag last night because Mr. Rilch wouldn’t switch away from football soon enough. So what was it? Thanks in advance!
Homer did the opening of Get Smart. When he entered the phone booth and the floor dropped out, he landed on the couch next to the rest of the family.
I thought maybe Mel Brooks or Buck Henry may have had something to do with the show last night, but I didn’t see their names in the credits.
Q. I seem to remember Get Smart originally airing on Sunday nights. Is this right and if so, what time slot?
Get Smart never aired on Sundays. It aired Saturday at 8:30 on NBC, then moved to Saturday at 8, then Friday at 7:30 on CBS.
However, the short lived new Get Smart, which starred Agent 99 and his son played by Andy Dick, did air Sundays at 7:30 on Fox, thereby making it the lead-in to…The Simpsons.
Just a minor correction: Max Smart was Agent 86. 99, Max’s wife (in the end) was Agent 99.
OhhhhhhhhOOOOOOOOOO! :::clenches fists::: I would have loved to see that! Gosh-darn Mr. Rilch, wanting to see a slo-mo replay for the third time!
Thanks, though!
Leave him.
Like there are so many men who don’t value football that much? If he switched over at all, that’s pretty good!
Football’s great and all, but no sane man values football more than Simpsons couch gags.
He’s one of those who thinks the Simpsons have jumped.
