Simpsons Didn't Do It!

Nitpick Nitpick:
It was BLO, Barbie Liberation Organization

Okay, thanks! Now I know.

And knowing is half the battle.

So Barbie was brought down by a BLO job, eh?

Yes, Bart and Lisa attended a game which featured the Los Angeles Sparks’ Lisa Leslie, who voiced the role herself.

Have they ever shown Carl’s wife? (On the episode where they take the bus to the Superbowl, Carl mentions it’s his wedding anniversary.)

How about Bart taking the cherry filling out of chocolate covered cherries and replacing it with rotting mayonnaise?

Have any of the major simpsons characters gotten fast-food jobs?

A hanging?

Homer did work at the Kwik-E-Mart for one episode.

And Grandpa Simpson worked at a Krusty Burger once.

As for the Futurama thing…I seem to recall Groening saying that in the Futurama universe, The Simpsons is still on the air.

That, and when Bender pulled the string on the Bart Simpson doll, it said “Eat My Shorts,” not “I Didn’t Do It!”

And, of course, the fact that the Simpsons characters on Futurama are still canary yellow, not pink.

And I don’t think the Simpsons have featured…

-Abortion.
-The successful suicide of a major character.
-Homer selling someone into white slavery.

There is also a fourth wall joke here. If a Marvel comic’s sales slip, or if it is a new comic that needs a readership “shot in the arm” spidey will often show up for a guest appearance, to get sales up. Spidey seems to be everywhere sometimes. Hence the “everybody gets him” line.

Hmmm… I haven’t kept up with the last two or three seasons… every time I tune in I’m left wondering why I bothered. The reruns are much better.

But how about:

And when Homer moved out while Marge was pregnant with Bart, he worked at Krusty Burger.

I’ve got two and a half words for you: Gulp ‘n’ Blow

In one episode (I think the one where the get Laddie the wonder dog) Snowball II and SLH do increasingly amazing things to get their attention, culminating in saying “We Love You”.

And when Marge and Homer first started dating, Marge was a carhop at a drive in.

Okay…

Has there been a Being John Malkovich parody?

Has anyone eaten a whole jeep piece by piece?
