Simpsons Treehouses of Horrors

The one where Professor Frink revives his father is pretty good for a later years show. Actually having Jerry Lewis as the father is cool, and I can’t help but chuckle about the vision of Sweden as a place where tall naked blondes direct traffic.

Kang (as Bob Dole): Abortions for all!
Crowd: Boo!
Kang: Very well, then…abortions for no one!
Crowd: Boo!
Kang: Ok, abortions for SOME, little tiny American flags for OTHERS.
Crowd: Yeah!

Exactly- both of them were satirizing Death Takes A Holiday. (Still, The Simpsons and Family Guy have slung a few gags at each other: Family Guy has shown Stewie running over Homer in a double-parody of the opening credits of both The Simpsons and The Naked Gun, and Quagmire killed the Simpsons after being caught with Marge in a gag that Fox actually cut from the U.S. broadcast. The Simpsons has depicted Peter Griffin as a literal Homer clone, as mentioned earlier, as guilty of plagarism- and American Dad Stan Smith as guilty of “plagarism of plagarism”- and there’ll also be a joke in the upcoming Halloween show where Marge puts a banner-ad Peter in a blender, based on a preview shown at the San Diego Comic Con.)

No mention of Groundskeeper Willie as Freddy Kruger?

The dream sequences are hysterical.

“Lousy Smarch weather!”

I came in to nominate that episode. Funniest scene: Where Homer has one booth set up next to the couch and the second one set up in the bathroom and attempts to pee in the first booth without transporting himself all the way upstairs.

Later in that scene, he unthinkingly thrusts his hand into the living room booth and Lisa can be heard complaining that someone punched her in the face, implying she was sitting on the toilet at the time.

I can still recite much of The Raven because of the first Treehouse of Horror ep. I loved it so much I taped it and watched it about 30 times.
