I bought Sims 2 and the University expansion at the same time - just a few weeks ago. I started with 8 university students, and now they’ve graduated and are living as respectable(?) members of society.
The thing that annoys me is that the NPC friends they made in University seem doomed to stay in that “young adult” stage for the rest of their lives. I invited one over (after graduation) and she appeared in her cheerleader outfit. I invited another one over and she came dressed in her graduation gown!
Anyway, my Romance aspiration female Sim invited an NPC friend from Uni over to seduce - and all she was able to do was make out. I never got the WooHoo option, not even when the two of them were in bed. :dubious: Is this because a) their relationship wasn’t high enough? (but they were both in love and friends!) or b) because Sims of two different age groups can’t WooHoo each other? Has anyone had an adult WooHoo successfully with a young adult Sim? Or should my Sim look for someone her own age to WooHoo with?
Yeah, the fact that the NPCs don’t age really annoys me. Just wait until your sims’ grandchildren are making out with the same people when they go to college!
I’m not sure why your game isn’t letting your sim WooHoo with the young adult. To my knowledge, young adults, adults, and elders should all be able to WooHoo together. Teenagers (and obviously children and toddlers) cannot WooHoo.
I’m guessing that this is a relationship issue. Just because your sim shows that she is in love, doesn’t mean that the other sim is in love with her yet. Is he definitely in love? Did the heart with the arrow appear over both of their heads?
Or, unfortunately, it could be a glitch. I’ve had glitches with some sims, for example, that won’t allow them to get married, even though they are engaged, in love, and have thrown a wedding party.
Good luck!
are the two sims in question the same age, are they adults?
in TS2 (don’t have any expansion packs), the only sims that can woohoo are adults, adult/teen or teen/teen does not work
yes, there are hacks out there that permit the last two behaviors, but i find the better solution is to download the “InSiminator” hacked object, click on the chair interface choose “Spawn”, then choose “The Summoner”, click the chair, choose the spawn option, then select “Family Tree”
use the Summoner to beam over the sim’s love interest, then use the Family Tree to “Add to Family”, then click on the InSiminator (left side menu, i believe) and choose “Select Age”, then select adult
the Sim’s love interest will now be an adult and available for WooHoo
Thing is, MacTech, The University expansion adds a “young adult” age group, and that’s the one the OP is asking about.
I’m afraid I don’t have a definitive answer to the question, but I thought I remembered one of my college sims having the opportunity to WooHoo with his professor.
I’ve advanced NPCs I met in college by growing up, getting an apartment, then inviting them to move in. At least one of my sims married and grew old with his college sweetheart.
It is possible to WooHoo with adults as a young adult- I have a sim who got her high grades in college almost solely by having sex with her professors.
Young adults can woohoo but they can’t become parents. They will never “try for baby” until they have both graduated.
The way to get around it is to go back to college with another sim establish a relationship and invite the desired sim to move in the dorm with them. Once that sim moves in, he/she is playable. You may, at that point, either have them complete college or drop out and move in with the desired sim.
