Okay, ashes (cremated) have been tossed into the ocean, mountains, meadows, parks, even scattered at Disneyland (illegally). Some have been placed in the Arizona at Pearl Harbor, others launched into space. There is no end to what can be done with ashes. However, nothing beats this. Now, your remains can become vinyl records. Or so they say…
I don’t know a single person who has the technology to play vinyl records anymore, but I suppose it’s the thought.
So…, what song would you choose for your “record.”
My brother wants his ashes put into two bobble-heads that look like him. Each one will have a chip programmed with the birthday of the recipients (our honorary niece- now age 17, & nephew- now 18) & holidays so that he wishes them “Happy Whatever, Niece/Nephew” on the appropriate day.
Even better if he does it at Midnight & the eyes light up!
Just FYI, I have the capability to play LPs. I also have the ashes of my late husband on hand, but wouldn’t really consider this option.
But if I were to consider it, one of his favorite songs was “Baker Street” by Gerry Rafferty. I know he loved it, but not sure I would go so far as to link him to it for all time (or however long such a disc would last).
As for myself, wouldn’t really consider this either, and couldn’t pick a single song if I did.
