Single Dopers: What Are You Giving YOURSELF For Christmas?

 It works for me, but just in case:

Women’s Plus Wool-Blend Peacoats

Impeccable style and timeless tradition unite for a look you’ll love. All the hallmarks of the classic peacoat are here: eight-button double-breasted front, notched and buttoned lapel, buttoned back yoke and vertical pockets. Features a removable belt and 8 1/2" vent in back. Smooth floral-print lining adds a chic touch.

72% wool, 28% nylon, with polyester lining. Dry clean only. Imported.

Was $78, marked down to $39 and with shipping I only paid $44!

They only make sense if you’re following your Significant Other. Or a whole heap of money. Or, possibly, both.

Mine has beautiful handwriting, so she’s getting the Mark Twain Signature edition fountain pen in her favorite color: purple, among other things.

I also use a fountain pen (the cheap Rotring $10.00 model) in my charting and find that using it just makes me write neater.

Damn! Wrong thread.

This was supposed to go into “What Are You Giving Your SO…?”.

I re-posted here because I thought this was the SO thread, and my post didn’t make it through.

Sorry. Brain-BM! :smack:

Well I’m not single, but that never stopped me from giving myself a gift! I gave myself this because no one I know could ever pick this out and say “xan would love this!”

My Abba Collection came today. Thanks, not so “Secret Santa”!

I just brought home the 12-disc Extended Edition of The Lord Of The Rings.

I am about to watch the first part in as close to HD as my computer and monitor will allow.

This year, to my surprise and astonishment, I got a bonsai girl for Christmas. Hopefully she’ll decide to hang around in the new year, too. I guess I should read up on bonsai girl maintenance now.

(Of course, I didn’t acually give her as a gift to myself, as I suppose *she *gave *herself *as a gift to me, but still, I think it sorta counts. Best gift a single Doper could get, I’m telling ya.)

Oh, and also I gave myself this. Most excellent.

Oh, that looks intriguing. I hadn’t heard of it before.

I’m getting a new road bike. This will be my first time riding with drop handles or clipless pedals, so I may be posting from the hospital in a couple of weeks.
