I’m not much into Christmas, but I do take advantage of the sales and always end up getting myself something in December.
This year my boss gave all the employees gifts based on their interests. They gave me a gift card for a music store (a tidy sum) and some music magazines. I headed down to the music store but didn’t see anyting interesting (I hate music stores). I figured I’d dig around on a few music websites and figure out how to spend this money.
The other day I found a fretless bass at musiciansfriend.com. I figured this is what I’ve been wanting but instead of trying to use the money from the gift card I just ordered the bass. I should have it next week.
I decided I’ll use the gift card for new strings, a little bass direct box and other related items.
It’s about 3 by four inches, and has thirteen tiny alls, two thin, long cuesticks, and a huge rack that takes up 2/3 of the playing surface. One break and most of the balls ended up on the floor
I got myself a new PC! It’s an Athlon 64 3500+, with 1Gb of RAM, an ATI 9800 XT (256Mb) and a nice dual-layer DVD burner. It’s a total game machine and I’m loving it!!
Max
I’d just like to gripe a little bit that my wife asked me for a wish list again this year, and, for the second year running, didn’t get me anything from the wish list. In fact, she didn’t get me anything.
I got myself a couple of games for my PS2, the Sims and Grand Theft Auto III. These are the first games in the series, so they were something like $16 total. Even though I generally don’t play these genres, I figured that for less than twenty bucks I can’t lose very much.
Ummmmm, I have to go now. I might not be back for a while. See you.
I got myself a tiny calendar. It may not sound like much, but I can never remember what day it is and most calendars don’t fit in my locker, so this gift will be very useful.
