I got myself a new sewing machine, some sewing patterns, a space heater (this was more pratical and necessary since my central heat isn’t working), a dessert cookbook, a squashie pillow and a teakettle.
Dame Fortune game me a multi-millon dollar contract on an industrial bulding I’ve been trying to sell, so I gave myself a well deserved spanking, and a big, fat lump of coal to balance out the Karma.
I got myself the extended edition of The Return of the King. The gift set, with the awesome Minas Tirith keepsake box.
And some socks.
I bought myself 2 DVDs (Mildred Pierce and Queen Bee) and some chocolates. I didn’t get anything for anyone else. Then today I watched the DVDs and ate the candies and it was awesome. 
About the middle of last month, I got a fairly good sized bonus (a regular bonus, not a Christmas one). Anyway, I’d been wanting a DVD recorder, plus my combination VCR/DVD player was on the fritz, so, with the bonus, my wife and I were able to get a combination VCR/DVD recorder.
World of Warcraft – no-one ever buys me anything computer related as a gift! 
It’s fun but all the servers are in the US so I always am playing at night in-game.

Well, I got $40 for christmas and I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it yet. I’m torn between Spider Man 2 or Shaun of the Dead on DVD. George Carlin and Jared Diamond have new books out as well.
I bought myself a leather loveseat. It’s very comfortable and much more enjoyable to read now.
My birthday is in december so I treated myself to a joint birthday-christmas present of a tattoo. I will be using my xmas money to buy some really good shoes instead of the cheapies I am usually forced to buy.

Kohl’s always has great sales just before and just after Christmas, so while I was shopping for gifts for friends and family, I treated myself to a beautiful amethyst and sterling ring for only $6.99. And while I was shopping for CDs for the WryGuy, I also got myself a copy of Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s latest.
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke, and some really funky hand-crafted jewellery that I fell in love with. Merry Christmas to me.
