Okay, this is getting about as depressing as being the kid standing in the corner at the middle school dance, rather than with their appropriate gender group along one of the walls.
Everyone, find someone of the right gender and ask them out. Really, maybe if we all do it we grow some courage.
Going to hide under the blankets in my bed room, rather than deal with people in a romantic sense.
If being married counts as dating, then my last date was almost a year ago, before the two of us separated.
If that doesn’t count as dating, then sometime in 1998, before we moved in together.
I can pretty much say I haven’t dated in a year by any and all criteria of what constitutes a date.
Oh thank goodness. I was dreading touching this thread because it’s been a couple of years since my last “real” date. Now I see I’m not alone. Okay, mine was in October 2003. When he dumped me. So there.
If I can count the beginning of the relationship that just ended for me (last week), November 2004. Before that, I don’t even remember, and it looks like it could be a long time until the next one. 
Actual “Date”. I don’t think I’ve ever been on one.
The closest thing was years ago, when a girl asked me if I’d like to go to a movie with her.
But I don’t count it because:
1.) We arrived seperatly
2.) We paid seperatly
3.) We sat with a seat between us.
4.) We didn’t share any food.
5.) We left seperatly.
6.) There was nothing like that again, even though we shared a couple classes after that.
7.) The movie, except for two scenes(both completely lifted from better movies) completely sucked.
8.) I’ve never even told anyone about it until now.
So, I’ve never actually been on a date. Though it’s really not a problem considering I’m generally so strapped for time and funds that I’ll only join clubs in which I don’t have to pay due or attend meetings.
My last date was on Thursday. Lunch date. Normally I wouldn’t have considered it to be a “date,” because we “met” online and it was our first time meeting in real life, but it went really well, and in an e-mail he sent me that night he called it a date, so I’m happy to think of it as our first date if he does. I’m looking forward to our second date, which will probably be on Tuesday (if it has stopped snowing by then!). 
Before Thursday, my last date was on 12/7/2004. It was a second date, the first date having been two days prior.
But to find the last date before that, we have to go into the late '90s. :eek:
Until last month I hadn’t been on a date in years, partly because for a long time I really wasn’t interested in dating, but partly because after a while it just became habit. But then in late November some folks here recommended a particular dating site, and when I checked it out for the hell of it I suddenly found myself creating a profile, and within a week I had that first December date. And this time, when things didn’t go anywhere after the second date, I realized that I was actually ready to be dating again! That I wanted to be dating again! So I wrote to someone whose profile had caught my eye, and that’s the guy I met two days ago. Now I’m hoping to not need another first date for a while, but even if I do I think I’ll still be ready to be in the game.

Hanging out watching “Family Guy” with a girl when there is mutual atttraction/affection: Last Sunday, or maybe Monday.
Probably tonight (we’re playing phone tag to nail down the time). First one in months. ARGH. Ok, I’m gonna stop stressing and go drink a beer…

… On second thought. A date probably would be pretty nice about now. Maybe I should try one of those for a change.
It kinda depends. For instance, I have some really close female friends that I accompany places like wedding receptions, but I’m not sure I’d call them dates since I don’t expect to get any. Last date with actual romantic possibility (that was fulfilled, by the way) was 9/21/02.
If we are talking about an actual official date then it was something like August, 1999. I spent the day with a girl about 2.5 years but it wasn’t really a date.
That was my 31st birthday!
