I’m still hungry.
Stoopit Supper Fairy.
Cereal for supper, I think… <sigh>

Ditto on wanting the Supper Fairy.
Please?
Suddenly got so tired at about four, no napping or anything till bedtim. Tired. Eyes not focusing. If i don’t make dinner, there won’t be dinner.
Tired.
Dinner, ugh.
S’mores by the new fire pit- does that count?
Just for the record, Ritz and swiss isn’t a very satisfying supper. Maybe some ice cream will save the day, ya think?
Stoopit Supper Fairy.
My supper fairy fixed some yummy beef with new potatoes and asparagus. Definitely better than cereal.
And for those who don’t watch the Olympics, you miss the opportunity to see some of the truly wonderful names of athletes from around the world: Nirinaharifidy Ramilijaona, Rachidatou Seini Maikodo, Inga Stasiulionyte, Epiphanie Nyirabarame, and my personal favorite, Young Talkmore Nyangani. It’s a smorgasbord of the unpronounceable!
Soapy 'smores at the fire pit sounds like a fine supper to me. IMO, a fire pit would be most enjoyable in the winter. Granted, winter down heah, ain’t like winter where you are but still…
We did not make it to the farmer’s market today. Drivin’ thirty miles one way just seemed like to much of a chore. Tentative plans are to go over next weekend, or drive down to the one in Thomasville about 65 miles south. The reason for that is they have a really nummy restaurant in that farmer’s market. Plus, it’d be a fun day trip kinda thing.
Today we accomplished gettin’ ol’ y’all know who a haircut. Aren’t y’all proud of our productivity! We went to the haircut place next to the Publix (AKA Pubic) sto cause he likes that haircut place better. Of course, since we were right there and all, we had to go in the sto. Publix to me is the crack Tarjay is to some of y’all. Anywho, we went over to the seafood part just to look. They had some nice lookin’ shrimpies. So, we ordered a pound of it and got it steamed. Meanwhile, I wandered over to the meats and saw this package of two very nice lookin’ smallish ribeye steaks, which, natch, I had to buy. Then I got some lettuce, carrots and radishes. This all turned into supper. We had steak and shrimp sallit. MMMMMMMMMMM… I didn’t even do any bread. Oh and for N.O.L. I grilled those sausages. MMMMMMMMMMM… dang! The sausages if y’all recall had onions and bell peppers in 'em. That on a whole wheat bun with some spicy mustard and a piece of pepper jack cheese wrapped around the sausage and a couple beerverages made a fine, fine lunch!
It’s been pigout day at da cave. All day long it was cloudy and rained for all of five minutes.
Thus endeth another excitatin’ day at da cave.
Beerverage time again!
Mooooooooom, if Taz must die, can I send you Booger, Audrey, and Ralph for good measure?
Day 1 of 2 for my Hazmat Operations class down. The only thing keeping me awake was taking 2 rescue calls, and one was a doozy. I’ll tell the tale Monday when I have a decent keyboard.
The Supper Fairy came to my house!!! Honest. I didn’t have to lift a finger. My brother and his kids have been on vacation this week and decided to go home via Columbus. And they brought fixin’s for dinner: salmon and shrimp and corn and rice pilaf. Yum.
I’ll add you in for Labor Day, rigs.
We are watching the women’s marathon. Brother is a marathoner.
Back to the marathon…
GT
I am happy about the improved sleeping, but does Nat really have to wail for at least half an hour every single night?
The supper fairy is still slacking. I think we’ll have ice cream, chocolate sponge pudding, or foccacia for dinner tonight.
Have all three! Sounds like a well balanced meal to me!
Oh and nitey nite y’all! We’s gone lie upon the bed and watch britcoms.
I am also watching the marathon. It is boring, thus I am also Doping.
Went to the mall. Ugh to the mall on tax free weekend. Got some Yankee Candles; they smell lurvely. I just had to use my coupon for their store. Save $10 off of a $25 purchase… works for me.
Happy Sunday! I felt like a slacker because I didn’t even turn the computer on till half an hour ago, and it turns out, I was right on time for the Dope returning!
Living room is half sheetrocked. SIL just left for work. We’re about to go downstairs to sheetrock the kitchen. Good times, good times…
Stupid Dope was down for the entire night shift.
Good moooooorrrrrrrrrnnnnnnning everyone!
The math placement test at UW didn’t take as long as we thought it would, thus we were at our neighbor’s parents’ house on the lake much sooner than anticipated.
We had a BLAST!!! We played in the water, hubby got to wakeboard, we noshed on some munchie type food, we took out the party barge, we came back and made a fire and had s’mores and great conversation and many laughs.
We didn’t get home until nearly 2:30 in the morning. I am very tired and just slightly uh…hungover, but I need to get my hiney in gear and go work out.
Just before we left we had some heat lightening. It lit up the whole sky and was fun to watch.
Hugs and smooches to y’all!
Hah, I missed the boards being down?
Also, WHAT is the deal with Mumpers and cucumbers? You can have all of mine.
I’ve been a little party animal, at least compared to my usual habits, this weekend - went barhopping Friday night and ended up in bed at 4:30, then got woken up at 6:30 (alarm was set for 7), got driven back to my car which was at another friends house, then had to drive from there to home, then had to get ready for work, then party at someone’s house last night. And I’m feeling blurfy, except for a cheeseburger last night, all the calories I’ve consumed in the last 22 hours have been from beer.
ALSO TMI alert - although you should be used to that by now, right?
I haven’t pooped since Wednesday, should I be worried? I had some diarrhea Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, so I took some Immodium, but it seems like it worked too well.
Howdy! I went to Mass, went to Target and bought a new Foreman grill, now I’m back.
You know you are a Doper when:
Someone leaves an old cooler by the dumpster, and you feel dread.
donkeybeaar, if all you are eating is vitamin Bud, you may not have anything in the poop chute.
snerk A headline from CNN: “Spray-on Condoms: Still A Hard Sell.”
I am off today. I really should do something. I don’t know what, though. I’ll probably end up doing nothing.
I tried posting this yesterday right when the boards went down, so – I hate when they lie to me! A woman called yesterday to cancel a reservation. I told her the policy, and that there’d be a fee. She then got pissed and lied to me about what she’d been told when she made the reservation in the first place. Total bullshit. It bore no resemblance to our actual (draconian, I admit, but I didn’t make it) policy. I stuck to my version, which is not bullshit, and she got really pissed and hung up on me. I have a witness if she calls back and screams at my manager, which has happened before, about what I said.
Ha! I WIN! But I still hate when they lie!
Howdy.
I’m finally getting around to making the July cake for my baking challenge… I had to wait for the right combination of time to bake the darn thing, and then have people over to eat it. Results will be on the blog tonight or tomorrow, depending on how much energy I have left after baking, eating and tidying up.
I ended up going to see Tropic Thunder last night with The Boy and some of our friends (that’s the new Ben Stiller movie, about the filming of a Vietnam war movie that goes horribly awry). It was actually funny, though not for the easily offended - I’m pretty sure I’m going to hell for laughing at some of those jokes.
The Supper Fairy is making me some jambalaya for din din tonight. Yay for the Supper Fairy.
Whew! I’m hungry. Have watched parts of Harry Potter 1 and 5. Have cut recipes out of old food sections. Have not strangled anyone (although I didn’t really feel like having people around this weekend); even had quite a bit of fun.
Nephew needs to watch a movie. So…ta.
Hugs.

Well, I just skimmed. I’ve been busy since today is TVMan’s birthday. We went to a hamfest this morning and I think we’re going out to dinner with his parents later.
mousie, it’s a sort of plaid skirt with two godets, one on each side. I did an ok job on the sewing (for me), but even though I measured and then picked a bigger size than I thought was necessary, it’s still just almost too tight. And the pattern isn’t as flattering on me as I would have hoped. Still, it’s finished. I’ll try to take a picture of it and post eventually. I ended up buying a pattern to make a tote bag next. Hopefully that will turn out better.
