I think Lisa is picking up on the fact that Nate isn’t 100% with her. She’s always been a back up girl, the girl on the sidelines. Herein lies her insecurity with Nate.
I find their story line the most interesting.
Arthur is either a virgin or a reincarnated cat (or both - I suppose they are not mutually exclusive). That head-rubbing thing he was doing… ICK!

Only other comment that I had that doesn’t really re-state what’s already been posted is that the previews for next week appeared to be like they were someone’s dream … or perhaps nightmare? Which is making me wonder, are we going to get several more episodes down the road, and then have a “Bobby Ewing in the shower” Dallas episode pulled on us?! They’d better not do that!
Okay, I’ll add: Lisa is definitely whack, to go “check out” Brenda like that. I’m not as disturbed by the Arthur-Ruth liaison as some; they seem to be suited for each other, imo. Keith and David (and Sarge? :D) seem to be doing well, although I’m not sure why they have gone down this menage a trois road! Seeing Keith high was a hoot too. LOL
Looking forward to next week, and hoping it’s -not- going to turn out to be a dream!
They came from all the unwashed polygamist children running around (is there a PC term for them? 
). Thus the double take when Rico realizes they weren’t a result of his wife’s negligence.
I kind of like the weird mixing of reality/dream/whatever, like the very first episode this season. But that’s just me probably!

I totally understand Lisa’s undercover checking out of Brenda. I think every woman secretly wants to know about her mate’s former lovers. Lisa just had the cojones to follow through on that desire. However, that being said, I still think Lisa is a total nutcase! She is insecure beyond belief, probably with good reason. But her insecurity is driving an enormous wedge between Nate and herself. No good will come of this. Mark my words!
Ahhh, thank you, flybynight! That’s why Rico did the double-take. The dream/reality confusion isn’t too bad, but sometimes it does confuse me and I begin to wonder…I personally don’t think Alan Ball would do that though.
Annieclause, I meant that Lisa was whack for the way that she scoped out Brenda–that’s different from cojones, imo–it’s whack! LOL
Ok–I haven’t posted in a very long while, but I couldn’t resist…Lisa thinks she’s some hippie earth mother type, but she’s also incredibly manipulative.
She got pregnant on purpose, presumably to trap Nate. Then she moved to L.A. She got friendly with Ruth, I’m thinking so Nate would have his mother nagging him to marry her.
I also think that, had things been good between Nate and Brenda,when Lisa got pregnant, Nate wouldn’t have married Lisa at all…He probably would have simply supported his child financially.
But, marrying Lisa seemed to be a good idea at the time…Nate probably felt insecure himself because he had to have the tricky surgery and Brenda had just gone around the bend.
I thought Lisa’s session with Brenda was cathartic for her…Brenda was on her best behavior and was very kind…I kind of thought that Lisa was able to see what Nate saw in her and felt empowered.
I’m always kind of rooting for Keith and David, because, well Keith really has some big control and anger issues, which he is trying to correct.
