Ick. I feel bad that those women are getting positive reinforcement for their unhealthy lifestyle. It’s one thing for women to see pictures of models and strive to be that thin. It’s another thing to see women who look like they are on the verge of death by starvation being glorified as sexy.

I did a little digging to see if I could find the responsible parties. The domain name is apparently registered to someone in Cincinnati, but the contact information, except for the email address, is obviously fake.
Did a usenet archive search to see if there was any overtly illegal activity implied that the creep could be called on, but he seems to be an All-American Joe, into fishing, bestiality, copraphilia.
There must be some complaint that can be filed – anyone intimate with the law?

My housemate worked at a clinic for anorexics/bulemics, and I’ve heard some heart-breaking stories. That anyone could look at a woman in that condition and not only not try to help, but to encourage their self-destructive delusion, for their own perverse (not to mention mercenary,) reasons, makes my skin crawl.

Anorexia is largely misunderstood. Many people assume that its sufferers simply want to be thinner than most people consider normal. Actually, most of these young women (and sometimes men,) suffer from debilitating hallucinations. When they look at their own bodies, they don’t see someone who is starved nearly to death. They actually believe that they are morbidly obese in many cases. Usually, they are haunted by voices, (which they insist have an external source,) telling them how fat and disgusting they are.
Consequently, they’ll abuse laxatives and emetics, engage in obsessive exercise when they are unsupervised, (commonly “running in place” under the sheets for hours, rather than sleeping,) and, of course, simply starve themselves.
It’s not simply an “unhealthy lifestyle,” or a radically egregious aesthetic sensibility, it’s a mortal mental disorder.
Subjectively, they live in a world where people maliciously conspire to make them even fatter and more horrible than they perceive themselves to be. From their point-of-view, having someone accept them as beautiful the way they are, rather than trying to “cruelly” badger them into fattening up, must seem a welcome, and validating, relief.

Ordinarily, I’m against any type of limitation of sexual expression, but not when the consequences may prove fatal (or seriously harmful,) for the “obscure object of desire.”
“HH”, the photographer and webmaster, is very likely doing serious harm by giving his models the impression that, despite what family, friends, and health-professionals may have said, there are a substantial number of people who think that their physical state is acceptable, and even attractive.
I sincerely hope that the responsible person is mentally ill themselves, and not merely hoping to corner the market for an obscure genre of fetish-video. S/he has been selling bestiality and scat videos for some time, and may have found that the market is saturated. If their motivation is purely venal, then they ought to be crucified, in my opinion. This is the first time I’ve ever seen anything which has prompted me to report someone to federal authorities. Well, after hearing the descriptions, there’s no way in hell I’m going to go look for that site. The people who made that website should be stripped naked, hung upside down and covered with honey, while a billion hornets sting at every part of their body.
