It’s a sunny 35 outside and supposed to get up to 40
That will melt the slab of ice on my back sidewalk so it can refreeze into another slab of ice.
I don’t need to go out so it doesn’t matter.
It’s supposed to snow, sleet, rain for the next three days but the fridge, freezer and cupboards are full so it’s all good. I heard we are supposed to get 8 inches of snow.
We will see.
I got home yesterday which is a happy thing.
I’m supposed to see my doctor in 4 weeks and then I am okayed for major surgery- joy and happiness there.
My wrist doesn’t hurt unless I use it too much.

It’s clouding over already. I feel like I need to go out and get something for supper, but frankly, I don’t want to. Maybe I’ll ask my sweetie to pick up something on his way home.

For an unproductive day, today’s been fairly productive. I did the photocopying, swapped the liberry book for two more, did some gardenin’, then came home and made bread, Bombay potatoes with rice, and cookies. Not sure how the bread’s come out yet, it’s still cooling, but the cookies are good.
The bad news for the day is that the shift I thought I had tomorrow is not on- the match has been cancelled or moved or something, so I have no irk again. That makes 2 and a bit hours irk since new year’s day. I was expecting it to be quiet in January, but I really hadn’t budgetted for it being this bad.
I’m debating applying for one of the nightclub security jobs going- but I really, really don’t wanna. Co-irkers have been stabbed doing those (at other companies, which is the only reason I’ve been sticking with this dodgy organisation- they don’t do those venues). I’m getting nothing from my other casual jobs either, and I don’t think I will until maybe some leafletting next month. Maybe.
Oh well, at least I have cookies.
The question of the day has been, “When do I get my W2?” The answer of the day has been, “When payroll mails it to you.” This is a thing of which I have no control. Envy me! Envy me, I say!

I haven’t had any chocolate today, but I did have too much sugar in the form of a Dr Pepper and some sugar cookie dough. Yes, I know you can get sick from eating cookie dough, but I’ve done it for 29 years and I’m still alive.
I already have my W2, my piece of paper from the credit union, and just this afternoon I got my piece of paper from the student loan people. I CAN DO MY TAXES BEFORE MARCH! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Howdy from da cave! Notice this is a nice respectable time on an irk day. I did not leave early. I was a good bear. However, now I am here and have an ice cold beer, so let the weekend begin! I am also awaitin’ pizza. I order it over teh intartoobz and OYKW shows up with pizza. It’s a miracle!
As to my irk habits, I can actually irk from anywhere, anytime mostly. Sometimes I do head to da cave early but I still irk. Have laptop, and tablet thingy, will travel.

My sweetie stopped at the goor-may McKay’s store in Hollywood and got a dinner of chicken, fancy N.O.T.s, and a broccoli-raisin salad that was pretty good, for a weird as it sounds. He also got a chocolate-cherry cake, which we’ll have later.
That means we don’t have to venture out into the nasty, cold, rainy evening. Yay!
There is a message on my irk website that says our 1099s will be sent on by Friday, January 31. 
I wish irk would get busy.
I have to figure out what is up with the gas company. I wanted to go on budget billing and the website wouldn’t let me. They never called me back but then my request went through with payments of $146, which by my calculations is too high. Then I got another notice saying my new budget payments are $212 (way too high) but I have a $119 credit and only owe $93.
I could make french toast Swampy I have all the fixin’s. I don’t know what I am having for dinner though, my tummy is rejecting most of what I put in it. Maybe a piece of chicken.
