Found some smoked beef I had forgotten about and some veggies – its gonna be stew/soup time in a couple hours!
Rainy rain rain. At least it isn’t snow, hehe
Sah-son has decided pizza for dinner and since it’s his gift card pizza it is.
I made up a breakfast casserole for breakfast tomorrow.
I browned some ground beef I had taken out to thaw but I have no idea what I am doing with it yet.
How you doin’?
Oh, you’re fine, good to hear, seeyabye!
I think I’m done Mumping for the day. MWAH!!
Howdy Y’all! Back from Sonny’s. I had the brisket. ‘Twas a large servin’ (four pieces) so I et two slices, the slaw, and a piece of the bread. I brought home the other two slices, the baked beans, and the other piece of bread for N.O.L. tomorrow. Two meals! WOOHOO!!! Shoe if we irked in the same place, we could perform an after N.O.L. concert together.
Chikin 'n dumplin’s are also done. That will be enough for two nights dindin so yay for that too!
Evenin’ all!
It turned into a proper full day today- there was a wassail (daft English traditional thingy) at the bee group, and I went early to help get set up- as requested by the email.
It turned out they really didn’t need extra hands by the time I got there, so I just joined in with the chatting and the booze and cake prep/consumption. Red wine punch and cake makes an interesting elevensis, though I was driving, so I didn’t get more than a taste or punch or the 6+ gallons of cider. Then we set fire to a big bonfire, and generally did silly things; apparently this will prevent bad spirits from ruining the apple crop. Holding one of these every year is actyualky a condition of the will from which they were bequeathed the site; probably unenforceable, but still…
Then went to Sunday juggling club, and while there got invited, along with a bunch of other people, to someone’s board game evening, so wound up there. It’s ages since I jupst went round someone’s house. Anyway, it was fun, and I just got back about 11.
Apparently we might get snow, though I doubt we’ll get anything dramatic; an inch or so, and the country will grind to a halt.
More than a foot and it’s basically the apocalypse.
We had a turkey boob for supper. This after a hard day of me wrestling with my new laptop and attempting to download some software for it.
I’m typing this from the old lappy. I still use this computer for most of my stuff. The two laptops are side by side on my desk now. One for each hand.
NHL All Star Game on the TV, Baked fried chicken is in the oven. Pro Bowl is up next. Life is good.
Nut, sound like you live in the South. “A flurry? Let’s loot the grocery store of bread, eggs, and milk, and close the city tomorrow!”
When I was in Lincolnshire I realized that I had crossed the ocean and ended up in the same place I left. Geographically, it’s central NC.
Just watched the original “The Producers.” I love that movie. I think I’m the last generation that will get the Karman Ghia joke, though.
Sunny don’t forget you’re startin’ us off tomorrow. There should be a new MMP by 6 A.M. EDT. That’s around the time I’m checkin’ out the MMP every mornin’. I must not be disappointed.
And on that note, I shall now go lie upon the bed and watch teevee until sleepy time.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
doggio, you forgot the tp!
I got the laundry done, cleaned the trash out of the truck and fixed orange glazed pork loin, brown rice pilaf and yellow squash with mushrooms. I’m eating leftovers for lunch this week too without beans.
:dubious:
I always keep a horde of TP on hand, just in case of Zombie Apocalypse.
Or swampy comes over for a surprise inspection.
God help you if have less than 200 rolls.
We’re in the process of getting about 3 inches of snow. Which may not seem like much compared to the 30 inches they are talking about for NYC but — hey there! We got a damn sight more hills than the Big Apple and worse drivers. So there! Pfffffffttttt!
Yes, I’m hovering. Waiting to start the next MMP… Any second now…
[Monty Python]Get on with it![/Monty Python]
Too late, dogbutt! :smack:
After the Venezuelan TP Shortage, everyone started disguising themselves as trees(scroll down) in case swampy came over to inspect their supply.
Yes, I know. I’ll go to the next MMP now.
