I gotta get up in like, 3 hours or so…
Is it worth going to bed?
If I do that I’ll probably just get to tired to get up again, but if I don’t I just might fall asleep in class tomorrow…

Heck no!
If you’re lucky and can get to sleep quickly, and therefore would be able to sleep for most of the 3 hours, then go ahead. But if you’re anything like me it would just make things worse.
Are you allowed to drink water in class? If so, take a good supply with you.
Of course get some sleep. I hear people all the time say “it is better to just stay awake” but I have found that it is better to sleep a little bit now and then when you get a few moments, take a nap or a couple if you can fit them in. You will be much less tired the next couple of days.
deb – who can survive on just 2 hrs a nite for a month or more if she must but would rather get her 6 in – 2world
Speaking as the father of a 7 month old, get any amount of sleep you can get, when you can get it.
-lv (who hasn’t slept for three hours in a row in a week and a half)
I stayed up all night last Friday, figuring only 2 or 3 hours wouldn’t be worth it. Boy was I wrong! I felt terrible. Even an hour of sleep would have been better than none at all. After doing what I had to do in the morning, I took a 2-hour nap and afterwards felt like million bucks.
I’m doing a surgical rotation (med student), so my working day starts at 7:30am and ends at 6:00pm, meaning 6:00am starts and getting home at 7:00pm.
Which is perfectly acceptable, except irishfella is working the late shift (1:30pm-10:00pm) this week and is home about 11:00pm. Meaning that by the time we’ve had a chance to chat and cuddle it’s already after 1:00am.
I’m knackered.
Thank goodness he’s on the early shift next week.
