Sleeping or eating better to grow?

When i was younger, i remember my mom telling me that as a growing boy, i needed lots of sleep and to eat healthy.
Now, i know i dont grow as much these days being a junior in high school, but… What is better for growing and being healthy?
Ive found that if i dont limit my sleep, and just sleep in. I just… dont eat that much. For example, ill just skip lunch because ill have eaten breakfast as kind of a early lunch brunch kinda thing, and then just eat dinner.

So the gist of this is, Would it be better to wake up earlier and not get as much sleep as i Could, and then eat 3-4 meals a day. Or get as much sleep as possible and eat about 2-3?
