I agree. How sad. Then again, I’m kinda psyched up about tomorrow! I get to go get orientated. I get to fill out forms! I get to listen to stuff about safety compliance and OSHA! I doubt I’ll sleep a wink tonight just bein’ all giddy about this! Think of the excitement I’ll have to tell y’all all about tomorrow! Why, it’s just like Christmas, Hallowe’en, Thanksgiving and birthday all rolled into one!

Are you s’posed to go in suit and tie or jeans and T or somewhere in between? Will you have a uniform? Somehow, you don’t strike me as a jumpsuit sorta guy…
Hope this job is all you want it to be. There’s little worse than slogging thru the day in a job you hate.
I was told to wear “casual” comfy clothes. The HR guy was nice enough to elaborate on that though. He told me polo type shirts, khakis and shoes nice enough to wear to church are what most folks (men and women) wear to work. So, tomorrow I’m wearin’ to work what I wore to church today. Actually this is the way I had gotten use to dressin’ for work, so I’m all set! I will assume that button up shirts are also ok, but I do prefer polo type shirts cause they be comfy!

Hope day 1 of the new job is fun, swampy!
Home from the baby shower, which was actually fun. (I had low expectations; it exceeded them by a lot.) We played a poopy diaper game, which was amusing. Also, Local Best Friend got a lot of loot. And the food was good (appetizery and little desserty stuff - are too words!).
After the shower, I went to her house for dinner and to admire the newly painted kids’ room (her stepson lives with them 1/2 time and will get to share). It’s really cool ocean-themed room that will be fun for quite a while. No cutesy baby decor for them.
It’s way past my bedtime…guess I should toddle off.
