I took the liberty of forwarding this thread to the email contact at the Small Wonder site, just to see what their reaction would be (I guess that makes me a Small Wonder troll; I can live with that). Anyway, I got an answer back this morning, and I thought you would get a kick out of it:

They can hardly get on their high horse when they have X-rated Small Wonder fanfic. Ewww! Gives me chills. I have no desire to read about a young boy having sex with an 8-year-old appearing female robot.
What the heck does “small potatoes for easy brawlers” mean?
Does anyone else get the feeling they have no idea of what kind of people they are dealing with? It could be time to call for a “Stamp Out Small Wonder Forever” campaign.

Mullinator: did you get your free iron on patch for forwarding them a website that is relevant to the Small Wonder cause?
Just wondering.

PS. I never thought this Beelzebub inspired, insipid peace of trash, worthless excuse of human time television show would ever give me any pleasure…until now. Thank you everyone.
I would just like to say that I went to the link last night…and it caused my browser to freeze up and then shut down. Someone must have programmed my browser to protect me from seeing sites like that.

Uuuuuhh. . . Did TT state that the Small Wonder site gets EIGHT TIMES the # of hits as the Straight Dope site does? Now that’s disturbing!
“Oh we were brought up on the Space-Race, now they expect us to clean toilets. When you have seen how big the world is how can you make do with this?”
Pulp, “Glory Days”
Whoa there, # 00: The Fool, I quoted that from the email the Small Wonder site sent me; the opinions expressed therein are in no way representive of my own.

OK, I am not a morning person, so this is probably just me, but you completely lost me with that reference SqrlCub. All I can manage right now is a “Huh?” Please explain, because I am feeling very confused at the moment…even moreso than usual.
Thanks

Hello Mulinator. I guess I broke my promise by posting more on this board. Anyway, at http://smallwonder.simplenet.com/SWonweb.html the Small wonder people say, “Get a free Small Wonder T-Shirt transfer! Do you know of any other sites Vicki or the show’s mentioned? Let us know!” I was wondering if you got the iron on patch.
HUGS!

PS. The link above goes to the website of evil but to a different page.
Gotcha. Missed that entirely. Just curious about what your next effort will be. An Open All Night website? Perhaps something from the My Mother, The Car genre.

I was going to continue to lurk for a couple more weeks before I posted, but my sides are so sore after reading this thread, I had to contribute.
I must confess that I knew exactly what this thread was about when I read the topic name. Sad but true. In my misguided youth, I was actually a fan.
Whew! Now that’s a secret that has been just waiting for a forum to jump out of my conscience into!
At any rate, if you can all overcome this shocking peek into my chilhood psyche, I look forward to talking (typing?) to you again soon!!!
I’ve been lurking for a while, too. Over the past few days I’ve ventured back to that site a few times. Exploring the message boards, the faqs, the (ugh) video clips. This is, without a doubt, one of the most facinating sites I have ever seen (In the slowing down for a car crash vein).
At first, I thought it was brilliant parody. Then it dawned on me that these people were completely serious.
One of my favorite exerpts:

Though the odds may be against us, I still believe that there is hope for Small Wonder. Someone could buy the rights to SW from Fox and do whatever the heaven they want with it. I’d say that the best way to bring about a SW film is to go to someone (with a lot of money) who is interested enough to buy the show off from Fox and let all the magic begin again. If Fox isn’t interested, I’m sure someone else would be.
Anyway, whenever the subject of truly horrible television series has come up, this has always been my number 1 answer. God help me, but i even downloaded one of the full episodes, and it’s even more horrid than i remembered it to be.
