Damn, that was awesome! Clark gones crazy, but nobody calls him Superman yet, so that’s not an issue. Looks like they’re following the animated Superman route and having Brainiac as a Krypton product.
“I thought I was supposed to be the last son of Krypton, but you guys keep popping up.”
Ha!
5 people get knocked out here which brings us up to an average of 3.86/episode. Chloe’s a 12 out of 10 on the whiny to hawt scale. Nice cover story and that suit she was wearing in throughout the episode made the most of her asessts.
I like the show, but to me,it makes less and less sense.
If I had a friend who overdosed on something and was a danger to others and himself,I’d call the cops.If I was Lex and had scientists at my disposal,I’d get the rock analyzed and get an
anti-toxin.If I had a rock that caused somebody to go crazy,I wouldn’t handle it.
While I at it,Lex doesn’t seem a bad guy.Is he? Am I missing something?Maybe its the actor. He doesn’t seem very conflicted for someone straddling good and evil.
Like I said,I like the show. It’s just hard sometimes to suspend my disbelief.
Help me get my head on straight, boss
Its’ based on a comic book. Who said anything about sense?
You’d call the cops on Superman? What are they going to do? Empty their clips then throw their guns at him?
He was working on it went Superboy when all jealous lover on him.
Blame SoFine, er, Professor Fine/Brainiac (I’ve been reading to much Television Without Pity.). All the evidence points to him. Who else would have access to special kryptonite and the ability to fake a text message from Lana?
Well that’s Lex, even in the comic books. He doesn’t see himself as evil. He just bends the rules for the greater good.
I almost forgot about the Clark-Lex-Lana love triangle that looks like its’ building up. Well, I guess she is legal now.
It was part of Brainiac that he attached to a rock.
Did anyone catch the end where Brainiac picks up the “Silver Kryptonite,” the silver bits flow back into his body, and the useless rock drops to the floor?
I’m liking Brainiac, as long as nobody gets too cute and brings in Mercedes McNab as a guest star.
Marsters. James Marsden is a totally different guy.
So, Chloe had her line about how she’d die before revealing Clark’s secret. And it wasn’t just a throwaway line, they made it all close-up and anvilly. Anybody else think she’s dead meat?
I knew it. I knew it even as I typed it. Why didn’t I write his name properly?
And I agree, I REALLY hope Chloe doesn’t die. They have to know that would alienate (heh) a lot of viewers.
My first thought was, damn, somehow I knew it was gonna be her – why can’t it be the badly aged over the last few years Ma Kent? Or, even better Lana who I hate more and more.
Judging by our postings here not a lot of people are continuing to follow it – I’d like to say it is getting better and better, but really, even though last night was GREAT, it hasn’t been truly great in a while.
Even though, it’s better than most stuff on television in the “fun to watch” category.
I don’t believe Milton Fine is dead, despite his dying in the latest episode and despite the fact that the IMDB lists no new Smallville episodes with Marsters in it. “Brainiac” has never been mentioned at all, which you think they would do before killing him off. Also, despite his claim that he hails from Krypton, there are a number of abilities that he has that have not been fully explained. If he’s dead, they really can’t anymore (or at least it becomes irrelevant). Plus, why introduce someone like Milton Fine, played by James Marsters no less, when, overall, the character hasn’t yet done anything at all!
I’ve still not been able to get an answer to: “Isn’t Jor-El Dead?”
James Marsters was certainly advertised as playing Braniac, I think in the credits in the first sequence where he appeared. However, after all that build-up – what, five weeks where Clark thinks Milton Fine is a friend, two weeks of thinking he’s Kryptonian… I thought the denouement was pretty lame. Although, having him talk up the great Zod was kinda fun. However, who he is and where he came from is still unclear. He was on the ship that was from Krypton, carrying the two Kryptonian baddies who were Zod supporters who got zapped into the Phantom Zone. So, obviously, he’d be a Zodite, but … too many unanswered questions.
Also, please note that, the climax is that Clark kills Fine (whether Fine is really dead is an open question, but Clark thinks he is, thrown agaisnt the crystals etc.) Whatever happened to not taking a life? Clark seems to show no remorse whatsoever over this.
PS- I;ve edited the thread title to include the most recent.
Eh, maybe its’ like Metroid Fusion where (spoiler for Metroid)The Jor-El we know is just a computer program with his thoughts and personality.
It wasn’t like he was trying to impale him. It just happened. I’d be pissed if somebody tried to kill my adopted mother and lied about my biological father too. I can understand not shedding to many tears about it.
Its’ just too bad that SoFine/Brainaic didn’t work in a “Kneel before Zod!” while holding Clark down.
We’re up to an average of 3.5 people knocked unconcious per episode and take a shot for the trip to the hosiptal.
