OK, now we know that Pete is in love with Chloe. Chloe is in love with Clark. Clark is in love with Lana. We need to complete these triangles or rectangles or polygons of love a little better.
Here are some of my suggestions:
Lana should be in love with Pete, but is put off by the sidekick thing. After all, she is the hotest babe in Smallville. To get away from this misery, she goes to Paris, stops bathing, smokes smelly cigarettes and no longer shaves her pits. She comes back and suddenly Clark decides he is in love with Lois Lane.
Chloe is not so dumb that she can’t figure out that Clark is (or will be) Superman. So when she becomes Lois Lane, she dumps Clark, who after all, was always a prick to her, and becomes the number 1 Superman groupie, knowing that Clark/Superman will never reveal his secret identity. So Clark’s/Superman’s love life is ruined.
Martha Kent once had a thing with Lionel before she married Jonathan, but dumped him because he never shampoos. Lionel suspects that Clark might be his son, and is terrified that he might be hit with back child support. He is also afraid that if Clark is his son, the world will find out that Lionel has produced an indecisive mama’s boy.
The real reason Jonathan hates Lionel is that one night, long ago, when his limo broke down, Lionel hooked up with this studly farm boy in Smallville’s gay country western bar. Lionel doesn’t remember, but Jonathan does. And no one gets away with dumping Jonathan.
The lady sherrif has the hots for Martha, and hopes to influence her by finding some way to lock Clark up.
And of course, the unspoken love between Lex and Clark is obvious. So maybe Lex will help Lana financially (like he has with the Torch) to go to Paris, leaving Clark to him. Lex knows Clark must like him, why else hasn’t he been screwing the hell out of Lana or Chloe for that matter. And we have all seen those looks Clark and Lex give each other.
Any other suggestions?
