SMB 3: I need help!

lately I’ve been playing the new version ofSuper Mario Brothers 3 for the Gameboy advance. I’m stuck in level 3 of world 4. Towards the end of the level, there are three triangular platforms. The middle one has blocks that can bounce Mario back. This is supposed to be the difficult platform, but my difficulty is with the last triangular platform. The distance between the middle and last is too far to jump. I’m hoping that someone here knows something that I don’t and can give me a tip. I’ve already looked over some Walkthroughs but they have been of no help.

I’ve already looked over some Walkthroughs but they have been of no help.

I have two ways to do it:

1. Go to the right of the two blocks and face the third platform. Then just run and jump at the edge (make sure you hold down the jump button while jumping). This way is usually the easier of the two.

2. Again, go to the right of the blocks. Then slide down the hill, and when you’re close to the edge (while holding down) press right and jump at the same time.

At least that’s how it works on my NES.
