Smells and/or Tastes that Everyone Loves but You Abhor

I threw up a little bit in my mouth just reading that…And you mix all this together? What do you call this noxious concoction?

The only thing that could make that worse is some rutabagas.

I have an irrational aversion to fake watermelon flavor/scent. Think Jolly Ranchers or Blow Pops. I feel a bit uneasy when I catch a whiff.

Love 'em in all forms. Pickled, steamed, roast, borscht, shredded, hot & cold, cooked & raw. I made and brought sous vide beets to Thanksgiving dinner this year.

Roasted root vegetables!!

I like to cook rutabagas and potatoes and mash them together!!!

Potatoes and turnips, yes. The others, well…I’d have to be pretty close to starvation.

And I didn’t want to be redundant because so many have already mentioned it, but put me down as another one with an aversion to coffee. Not even coffee ice cream. And adore ice cream! Unless it is coffee.

I love the smell of coffee, but hate the taste. Tea is simply yucky to me. Can’t handle the consistency of oatmeal or cottage cheese but I can deal with it if it’s IN something, like lasagne or oatmeal cookies.

Jello…Bleh!!! Even worse if there’s fruit in it. I love nuts like peanuts, etc…but can’t handle them if they’re mixed in with something. I like fruit too…but again, if it’s mixed with something…no thanks.

Eggs. Again a no thank you food…whether their hard boiled or Deviled…BLEH!!

I love rice…but mix it with something and I don’t like that either.

Guess I just like my stuff plain. Yet I’ll mix my love for tuna with just about anything including mayo, noodles, peas, etc. for a great tuna salad.

Also love potatos mixed with just about anything!!

Mexican…yep!! Especially Taco Dip!!

Love Mexican food, but don’t put rice in it…OR that green stuff called Cilantro…BLEH!!

In addition, I like iceburg lettuce, and not any of the gross green stuff that looks like weeds. Anyone that likes that can have all of mine…LOL!!

The things I like best are almost any sort of carbs (which I try hard to keep to a minimum), most soups, chili (but it has to have noodles in it…lol), tuna fish with a bit of mayo and cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches (on my carb days)…home made mac n cheese (even crave the cheap Kraft kind now and then…again…on my carb days), chicken salad (without nuts!!), etc.

Not much for sweets AT ALL…which is what most people bring during our office food days. Makes it soo easy to pass on those things. However…if it were a carb day…Ugh!!

Roses. How did a flower with such an overpowering stinky sweet smell become so popular?
