The “Labia” thread is right close, too…provided people don’t find that objectionably honest.
Chili.
Thanksgiving dinner.
The woods in autumn. Heck, the woods anytime, really.
Bacon frying.
I’m hungry.

Fall smells are officially underway here in Vermont.
The smell of pumpkins, dry leaves and hay.
The smell of cider and hot donuts.
Mmmmmmm…
Wood burning outside

patchouli (ahhhh hippie chicks)
ballpark hot dogs
Unsmoked marijuana
Inside the Krispy Kreme near my apartment
The smell of a diesel engine, particularly a tractor.

Strong coffee brewing
Fresh cigarette smoke and coffee together

Old books
One smell I absolutely detest almost to the point of nausea is the smell of wet dirt right after a rainstorm I know, I’m weird.
Butterscotch pudding
Pine trees
Old-fashioned bath soap
The burning surface of the track brakes applied to stop a cable car in San Francisco
Lip Balm
Vanilla car deodorizers
Tea roses
Labia, Labia, Labia
sorry, sorry I’ve been in Demo’s post for too long.
Vanilla perfume creates a short-circuit in my brain. On several occasions I have followed women wearing this scent for ten minutes as they traipse through a mall.
Thanks for the aromous ecstasy, girls.
Hot cinnamon rolls, right after you put the icing on.
Rain falling on my tin roof. (It smells weird, but good.)
Saltwater
My boyfriend, right after a shower, putting on cologne.
Any men’s shaving cream
Aqua Velva. (Don’t laugh! :)) Reminds me of my dad
Hot coffee with a shot of Godiva chocolate in it
My baby niece’s hair
Colours of Bennetton cologne, on anybody
A well-drawn pint of Guinness
summer meadow
the smell that tells you it’s going to snow
2-year-old-kid-applejuice-dirt-sugar-sweat smell

Old car
4711 cologne
Nenuco (baby cologne)
New baby
Eierkuchen with raspberry or currant jelly (crepes)
Wow, just making me think of which smells are my favorites brought back so many obscure memories.
Thanks Pessor!
::dialing phone to call grandma::
Same thing happens to me but with Giorgio.
I also like the smell of diesel fuel at harbors, and the smell of jet fuel as I drive around the end of the runway going to/from work.
And the smell of trees in the forest when it starts to rain - birch, cottonwood, alder and white spruce - along with the damp earth.
I’m pretty aware of my sense of smell since more often than not, it doesn’t seem to work at all. I’ve got some pretty screwed up sinuses.
My daughters
My boyfriend
Just bathed babies
Palma violets
Pine trees
Freshly mown grass
Fireworks
The perfumes Poison and Red leave me one stop short of orgasmic. But that’s probably an association of who wore them.
Super, I have met so many men that LOVE Poison. What is it about that scent? It’s just toooo much for me.
I did my post on this in the IMHO thread.
Rain
Tonya’s hair
Vanilla
new cars
Mangoes
An imminent storm
Ocean (but only in secluded northern beaches)
The smell of passionate all-night love-making the morning after
Tulips
Pollution-free air
Rainforests
Fresh popcorn
I don’t know about them, but for me, it’s the girl who wore it. I can’t smell it without thinking of her. And she only wore it to drive me crazy.
I don’t know what it is, but count me solidly among that group of men. I remember the first time I smelled it. I was in high school, and there was a scented insert in my New York magazine when it arrived in the mail on month. This was probably late '86, early '87. I’ve been a junkie for it since the first sniff and have been enthralled beyond reason whenever a woman wore it.
Rain
Leather
The woods
Incense-especially rain and Dragon’s Blood
Irish Spring soap
Old books
Leather
Towels just out of the dryer
The three perfumes I wear-Rapture, Aliage and Allure (plus, I just like the idea of being able to buy allure in a bottle)
Baby powder
Something sweet I can’t identify, that I sometimes smell outside in the mornings. It reminds me a sweet perfume my aunt wears, and it makes me think of the trip to Britain I took with her and her family a few years ago.
And coffee! How did I forget coffee?
Sauteeing onions and garlic
Bread baking in the oven
Pine forest after a rain
My wife’s perfume when she cuddles on my lap
Jasmine in the summer
