I couldn’t read the second link, but that first smiley is perfect. Not too “explicit” for the [del]stuck up wim-[/del] sensitive dopers*, but it still gets the point across.
*Not that a smiley spewing animated technicolor puke across the page wouldn’t be appropriate for some of the posts we have around here, though.

This one really is the most useless smiley. The wink kills it – makes it look like you’re joking when you call somebody a putz. If you are joking, then restricting it to the Pit is silly. If you aren’t joking, it looks like a really lame attempt at an insult – an insult not backed up by conviction. It needs a sarcastic face, not a winking grinny face.
We need jjimm’s barfy and we should get rid of :wally.

We need the “neutral” smiley - for all those times when you want to say “I’m on the fence” or “I can’t decide one way or the other” or “I could care less”.
