Smoked bacon + smoked salt + milk chocolate = Bacon candy bar

Behold the bacon candy bar:

I’m speechless. Bacon and salt and milk chocolate all in my mouth at once. I don’t know how to even imagine that.

If Betty Crocker ran the Penthouse Forum, this would still be odd beyond belief.

God, it’s like really bad poetry. And I mean really baaad.

Except it needs to be more,

*Beside my chocolate-laden cakes
laid three strips of fried bacon,
just barely touching
a sweet pool of maple syrup. *
As for the product itself. Agog. I am just agog, and slightly queasy.

I’m down with that. Salt + chocolate is great, and who doesn’t like bacon.

Bet they don’t deliver to the UK though. Might have to make my own. Using bacon salt.

You realize this is why Rome fell.

I tried a dark chocolate bacon bar at Whole Foods a few weeks ago. It wasn’t awful, but nothing I would buy, or even choose among various offered chocolates.

Salt+chocolate=good, I agree. Give me some Sno-Caps with my popcorn at the movies, please!

Chocolate with crunchy bits is also good - just ask Nestle.

The problem is chocolate with smoky flavor doesn’t blend well, at least to my palate. It was just odd, and the flavors refused to blend coherently, kind of like the time I made garlic-scented chocolate chip cookies by putting hot cookies on a wooden cutting board. You’d taste one flavor, then the other, but your brain refused to put them together, and it wasn’t a pleasant experience.

Do you like bacon,
Cover it with chocolate,
Heaven awaits you.

My chilli has chocolate and hickory smoke flavoring in. Not too shabby, but then the dominant flavor isn’t chocolate.

You’re also late.

Thanks, Lute. I was just coming in here to do the same thing.

I lurve Vosges. I made a special trip the last time I was in Vegas to stop by one of their stores.

And I, my friends, had a Bacon Truffle, and it was Good.

Kinda like when you buy a blueberry bagel that’s been sitting in a bin next to the onion & garlic bagels? (we need a Mr Yuk smiley)
